He gave up when he found out they weren't going to let him be the new gm..... and when he was exposed as a rapist.

So he didn't give up when his buddy BoB got fired? yea stop making bs up.

He did not give up when he was "exposed as a rapist". He was already done after he realized taht our franchise is a sht show. Religion in sports pffft.

I assumed that him getting exposed for his "crimes" was texans way of retaliation for Watson giving up. As u know our dumbass incompetent franchise would b petty/"righteous" to tank their best asset trade value.

He was upset when his buddy BOB got fired, he quit when he found out he wasn't going to be the new de facto gm..... and when he was exposed as a rapist.

    Those were the only factors.

Wasn’t the one that brought it up.

You’re letting DW4’s transgressions completely cloud your judgment. Cal starting f*cking $hit up the second he took over. Don’t forget about all the crap that went down before Watson’s stuff came to light. I’ve said it over and over that I want Watson gone but that does not absolve Cal from what he has caused by bad decision after bad decision.

And you can call it what it is. Speculating that he wanted out because he was trying to escape civil complaints doesn’t make sense whatsoever. It just doesn’t.

Lol…You are accusing others of being revisionist? The Ashley Solis stuff started in December of last year. The trade request was about him hoping to get away from the heat that was coming his way.

If he was so concerned about the direction of the franchise he would not have signed the extension.

    December of last year?

    https://www.tmz.com/2021/04/06/deshaun-watson-response-accuser-ashley-solis-hush-money-claims/
Solis was the first accuser to file a sexual misconduct lawsuit against the Houston Texans star back on March 16. She used a pseudonym to protect her identity.

    Yea stfu revisionist.
Him requestin the trade does not take heat of any sht. If he commited a crime, the investigation will still proceeds.

“The texts reveal that massage therapist Ashley Solis, who filed the first sexual assault lawsuit against Watson, was in contact with Tony Buzbee's law firm in December 2020. More messages between Solis and another massage therapist with whom Sports Illustrated spoke revealed that communication with Buzbee's firm was made before Week 16 of the NFL season.”

In contact doesn't mean jack sht. The article you used is speculating just as u and the revisionist are doing.
hell the first question of the article
Is This The Real Reason QB Deshaun Watson Wants Texans Trade?

No one knew jack sht in December, if he was trying to "avoid the heat" y does he wait until the off season?

A trade of Watson would not have erased the accusations. Nor would it have negated the NFL's conducting of its own investigation and possible punishment of the 25-year-old star player. Stop pushing the dumbass narrative that he was "requesting a trade to get away from trouble". He was doing it cause he was sick of Texans incompetence.

    Revisionist like making sht up.

No sense in arguing the last paragraph, although time time line of the 1st offer of settlement and Watsons trade demand align with each other.

You're right, Cal's to blame for what's happened to the franchise. (Actually you can blame Janice and Momma Watson for this) Cal owns the team and he chose to get into bed with a guy like Watson.

The trade demand also came after the highly criticized GM search process Cal conducted. A process that pissed off AJ and ultimately caused Rootes to resign.

All I’m saying is that DW4 can be a scumbag and genuinely want out of the franchise for football reasons. The two don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

But Cal is supporting the sexual predator by paying him millions this year. And are still on schedule for millions more. No one on earth is supporting Watson like Cal. He should cut him. The Raiders just fired Gruden for 10 year old emails, and yet Cal is still cutting checks to Watson. Get out of bed with him and fire the guy.

That’s what he wants. And his fans want.
That way he can go off somewhere and “win” while getting out from under this “terrible” team.
One that he has a strong part of why it’s bad.

No, no matter what the Texans are going to have a black eye because of that turd. You don’t further the pain by getting nothing in return. So be a hypocrite. That’s fine, but get value for the piece of crap first.

It's telling how upset Watson fans are about him being benched......literally the only punishment he's faced for his crimes. Somehow that small punishment is too much for them to cope with.

It wasn't a "football reason", he wanted to be the de facto GM, he didn't get his way so he threw a tantrum. He's used to forcing his will on people.....he's not really a big fan of consent.

Watson was happy with his guy BOB running the team into the ground, but when they fired him and picked a competent GM, that's when Watson started to throw a fit.

It's not a "football reason" it was a power play that failed.

Although I disagree, that theory is much more plausible than him thinking he’d escape charges by being traded.

My biggest problem with this is that it absolves Cal from any blame. Don’t forget he is the one that hired Korn Ferry, put together a handpicked search committee and told DW4 he’d have input. I can’t blame him if he said screw it, I’m going with who I want. But that wasn’t the report on how it all went down. This also aligns with why André Johnson went off after and why Rootes ultimately resigned (which was reported right after the Kahn fiasco).

You understand that Cal will still have to pay him if he cuts him right?

    Well, I don't blame him.

Telling someone they'll have input isn't telling someone they'll be the one that gets to make the decision.

If the GM that was picked was a bad hire, then things might be different, but Caserio so far seems to be a quality pick.

Throwing a temper tantrum because you didn't get your way....especially after backing the guy who single handedly destroyed the franchise, is beyond childish. Watson has proven himself to be a complete moron both when it comes to football decisions and his personal life. There's simply no reason why anyone should allow him to be the de facto GM, it could legitimately end up worse than when BOB was the actual GM.

That said, it's all in the past. Now that Watson has been outed as a rapist, no self respecting team would have him as the face of their franchise. No doubt there are plenty of pro-rapist teams out there, but I'm not sad Houston isn't one of them.

Unless the Texans are complete morons they have a moral turpitude clause in all of the players contracts which would void the contract in cases where the player engages in illegal behavior.
