Historically I don’t start knee jerk threads. After watching the Miami game, the knee felt tingly.

The same way he helped grow LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kemba Walker, and Luka Doncic. If he can help those guys, he's the right coach for these guys.

Perhaps…I mean I rather subscribe to the belief that all but Kemba from that group are transcendent players and would have succeeded with or without Silas but sure I’ll go with your assessment. So, based on what we’ve seen so far, what has Silas done to help our young guys? Or is it too early?

so these guys would be bums if no silas? lololol i dont think so...and he wasnt their head coach anyways if i got the right info

we also see sengun playing beautifully...he just does what he always did and how he won turkish league MVP.. and it has nothing to do with silas coaching ... ..au contraire... he would be killing it 3 X more with better coaching and within the system that makes it easier for him

ps i am sure there are some of the worse assistant coaches that are not even with the nba now that happened to be on the coaching staff of some of the teams that drafted superstars....it doesnt mean these were responsible for them becoming superstars

    Sorry, not meant for you.

Meant for the Silas stans who want to trade away Wood because he does not fit into Silas "system" this season.

    Bring this guy!

btw up by 26 and still preaching the defense as if his life depended on it...

i am not for yelling at players but man coach needs to show and remind players somehow that he cares and that its urgent that they also care

he won 9 european champion titles with different teams, thats almost the same number as the team that has the most champion trophys(10)

I have zero coaching experience but what is the purpose of playing preseason games if not to try and implement a system so that your old and new players have a common thread to go by? The excuse is that they need to build chemistry but the reality is that they’re just trying to survive every time they set foot on the court. At the very least it might not be bad coaching but it is definitely bad leadership.

I watched Silas grimace, frown, and throw out so many looks of disgust at his players in that Miami game and I’m wondering why is he so mad? Are they not running his offense? If there’s a system and they’re not running it then yea you have every right to be pissed off, Stephen. But if you’re pissed off bc KPJ is shot hunting rather than passing it down low to Wood or you’re pissed off because Green took an Ill-advised shot….ain’t that your responsibility to prepare them during practice and scrimmages to know where to be, what to look for, how to react to defenses?

HOT TAKE. Maybe there was a reason it took him so long to get hired as head coach.

I disagree about KPJ as a PG. I think he's best suited as a 2-guard. Seems like the offense doesn't have any flow to it when he has the ball. We haven't seen hardly any line to Wood, much less anyone else. I like his shooting and scoring ability as a 2-guard but not as a PG. First in for most, you rarely see him setting up other players for easy buckets. That's the role of a point guard. How often do you see him setting up Wood for easy buckets or any ally-oop? Not often enough.

I realize it's just preseason but the last few games Green is barely involved in the offesne. All he's doing is spotting up for threes instead of coming off a screen or pick and roll. I thought he was supposed to be athletic enough to break down defenses. No, we need a point guard they can drive and find a guy like Green cutting to the basket.

I don’t think it’s fair to conclude that it’s a player problem until we see this team run some kind of offense. What we do know is that this team isn’t built to read and react to whatever the defense gives them and that’s okay because they’re still young and inexperienced. So after 3 preseason games whatever Silas had planned for them isn’t working…maybe it’s time to make some changes..when games don’t officially count yet

There is no cutting, pin downs, screens, etc. in this offense.

It is static, 5 guys on the perimeter like Harden was still on the team.

    Silas is a fraud.

I think there is some conflict in the locker room for who is the best player. Wood vs KPJ
