He wasn't in his prime? Love went to Cleveland when he was 26 years old. The previous year in Minnesota was his career high in scoring at 25.9 ppg. The drop in stats is what happens when stars have to take a backseat to Lebbywinks. The same was true with Bosh.

Plus Kawhi didn’t win vs the Warriors until Thompson tore ACL & Durant tore his Achilles in the same series. Plus he had Lowry and Siakam playing at career high levels. LBJ was swept by the Warriors the following year without Kyrie & KLove. Folks trying to rewrite history. They need to accept the fact that those Rockets squads weren’t good enough to win a chip. They lost to better squads .It happens.

This was before KD. This Warriors team was vulnerable. They should have lost to the Thunder that year. KD on that Cleveland team probably beats the Warriors. He just needed anyone but Westbrick. Harden probably beats the Warriors with Kyrie as he basically had nothing else on the Roster.

this is such a generalization...and perhaps misinformation...perhaps you put others people lives at risk by spreading misinformation?
    are you a doctor?

imagine if i respected you less because you drive a car instead of walking thus putting other people lives at risk?
    lolololol
imagine if i put a massive global campaign against driving to save lives because hundreds of thousands are being killed by car accidents?

Not only that, but Draymond was suspended for G5 and Bogut was lost for the series in G4.

I understand the drop off when there are better players on your team, I just don't think that when people think super team that Cleveland team comes to mind. And yeah, they were pretty damn good. Possibly almost as good as the Miami squad.... I still saw them outmatched vs GSW.... Lebron had to go for 41pts twice that series... Maybe Durant in Cleveland could have done it, Harden thou?

man.. some of u guys that are propping up and glorifying gsw and crapping on other teams that beat them have really short term memory. gsw wouldn't even have been in position to win in the playoffs if the nba didn't willingly turn a blind eye to all of their moving screens, and employed scott foster/tony brothers for all the key games... let alone some of their dirty ass antics that they pulled (klay stepping under harden jumpshots repeatedly, draymond poking out harden's eye, zaza injuring kawhi... and the list goes on). **** gsw

    1. They were underdogs because the players on the opposing team combined to be one of the best teams in the history of the NBA. In a matchup of two teams, one team has to be the underdog and one has to be the favorite to win. Just because Cleveland was considered an underdog, doesn't mean they weren't a superteam themselves.

    2. Kevin Love averaged 16 points a game because LeBron and Kyrie did most of the scoring. Someone out of those 3 had to sacrifice a part of their game. It sure wasn't going to be LeBron. And if Kyrie became the one that had to score less, you'd be taking away his biggest (and some would argue, only) strength. Just because Love's stats were down from his days in Minnesota, that doesn't automatically mean Love wasn't still one of the elite players in the league. You don't trade two consecutive #1 overall picks (Wiggins, Bennett) for a regular player.

You did see how poorly he shot thou? Love was legit, he was good... All I'm saying is he was not a super star, never was even in his best year. A star yes, absolutely. LeBron has only won with other stars around. Same can be said for anyone but I just don't feel like Cleveland was a super star team. I don't think they were even as good as Paul's Clippers in terms of star power.... Were The Clippers a super star team?

Harden is way better than Love, Durant and Harden should technically be a super star duo and amongst the best to ever team up. They should be legit chip favorite's even without Irving. Just pointing out that many Harden fans are pissed at Irving and already creating Harden's 2021 excuse. This is better for Harden in my opinion, if they win it all he will be a direct factor to why and no one will be able to take that away from him. He just needs to come up big this year...
