The players will get over it on the floor. Kids get in fights on the court all the time. It passes. They play the next day. But it won't be forgotten. So it's just a ticking clock like a Black Mirror dating app. Eventually everyone will be happy when it's over.
And Durant hated it and according to Durant messed up the whole vibe of the team. I remember a few superstars no showing in playoff games, in fact, one of them played here. I sure didn't remember anyone on the team throwing him under the bus. I don't know what makes Simmons 'entitled' you seem to know more about the situation than I do then. It's entirely part of my argument because my argument is good coaches and teammates do not publically throw others under the bus no matter how bad they play in a game. That's a radical statement if I ever saw one. That a player deserves to be publically shamed because of bad play. Like I say, most fans have an odd notion of 'accountability and it seems most fans think some kind of public shaming is 'accountability I think Ben Simmons probably knows what is best for Ben Simmons. After an embarrassing playoff loss? Well, Doc certainly knows all about those doesn't he? How many times has he blown 3-1 leads again? . Bro...Doc Rivers is the reason he wants to be traded lol. I love how Ben Simmons is supposed to be accountable for the loss and ONLY Ben Simmons, no one else. Yall do this scapegoating thing a lot for team sports. It's odd.
You say that and ignore a few keywords in that whole article there that you quoted...that it was unusual which has been my entire point, according to the reports at the time, Tom's team didn't like it very much and oh yeah it's being compared to Belichick...who last I checked seems to imply the same strategy in his pressers of giving the press no meat to chew on for their stories. Seems to have worked well for him. Jimmy Butler also doesn't publically attack players to the press. He does so behind the scenes, sure, because that's where true accountability happens. But speaking of Jimmy...it's funny, people really think KAT, a guy that's played through losing several family members and almost getting killed himself is now 'soft' because Butler said so during a scrimmage...couldn't be that he just plays for a bad team and the struggles that come with it. I see people here when KAT is offered in fan trades you always get some silly "He's soft, don't want him" reply and just shake my head. Sometimes people need to step back and as Durant said, realize they are people and all that comes with that because yeah, it's the NBA, a sport televised for entertainment, not war.
Yikes. What does KAT's personal tragedies have to do w/ any of this?! Butler alluded to him and the rest of the team being soft well before any of that transpired. Really strange you'd resort to preying upon people's sympathy. Pretty gross if you ask me. Keep moving those goal posts back to maintain your arguments. Looks like Ben and Klutch just got a valuable albeit expensive lesson in how contracts work
Who played as scared as Simmons? Who went 15 for 45 on FTs? Who was afraid of contact? Show me the receipts. Following the reporting from Philly and elsewhere..... Maybe you should educated yourself on the person you are defending? Here's just one Philly blog's take: https://thesixersense.com/2021/06/23/sixers-3-reasons-ben-simmons-lost-fanbase/ Maybe it's more than just a game as you keep trying to insist? Maybe it's the lack of work ethic over the years? Maybe it's disappearing in the playoffs over the years? Also, I don't think Doc is a great coach. But I think Simmons is a far worse max player. And that's a cupcake statement if I ever saw one. You keep ASSuming it's all because of one thing, one play when it could be the culmination of Simmon's entire tenure with the Sixers. LOL..... Yea.... he wants to get the Harden treatment of having a team built around him. I could care less about Doc. It's very interesting you keep putting this on Doc and Embiid when Simmons has objectively gotten worse every year. The Sixers organization put him on the trade block last year.... not Doc. The Sixers, as an organization, have lost faith in Simmons. I love how some posters have this unshakable need to defend someone who has objectively gotten worse. It's odd to hear it's Doc and Embiid's fault that Simmons has poor work ethic and poor playoffs (multiple) performances.
Ben was looking at all those missed check and then looking at his house like... this is untenable for the rest of the season. Morey made him blink.. you win this round Morey.
Before Adele, Rich Paul was letting players like Nerlens Noel accept $500 gift baskets as payment.. wow.. is this what it's like to date a white woman? interesting. lol
At this point what's true here: 1. Ben Simmons hates Doc and the Sixers to the point where he don't even want to talk to them 2. Ben Simmons can't speak for himself so he has Rich Paul doing the talking 3. Rich Paul wants to handle this situation the same way he took it upon himself to remove the Sixers' shooting coach that they hired for Ben and brought in Ben's brother to be the new shooting coach 4. A little bit of everything above
