Giants up 2-0. Would be so great to see SF bounce LAD in the DS. Just comedic. We’ll see if this can hold up. I look up and down their roster and am bamboozled (shoutout bill worrell) how SF won 107 games. I would love a Stros-Giants WS.
I'm conflicted between a Giants-Astros WS or a Dodgers-Astros WS, The former leads to either one (or both) of Oakland and LA getting burnt to the ground but winning the latter is the greatest pimp-slap in sports history.
That double play the Giants just turned with Turner the Red at the plate, 4-6-3, is one of the prettiest you'll ever see. ETA:
The only thing this year that would piss Dodger Fan off more than losing to Houston is losing to the Giants. Go Giants. @B-Bob
There was an article somewhere in the past couple of days saying that if the Giants win the WS (or even win the NL) the sportsbooks will be absolutely killed, because they/nobody thought the Giants would keep it up since June-ish and of course LA would catch them and beat them and so they never really moved the odds
And Renegade Agent Kris Bryant goes yard 3-0 ETA: This cracks me up still "dude, that soundguy's got a pretty good curveball" "You still want my bat?" "Nah"
I don't know who this LHP is for the Dodgers, but he definitely looks like a guy who introduces himself to his neighbors every time he moves houses. and Brandon Crawford goes deep next pitch. Crawford is a great SS, Correa-level defensively at least
This could be one of my favorite playoffs of all time. 1) The good (Bad?) guys are up 2-0 2) NYY gone before the ALDS? check 3) Boston/TB even after 2? Better than I expected. 4) SF 1-0 vs LA? Hell Yea! 5) Braves / Brewers? Don't really care about this one to be honest.
Oh, they're fun to watch in all phases, for sure. I'm sad my fellow Longhorn Brandon Belt is hurt and not around for the Postseason
Is Oakland and LA getting burnt to the ground a BAD THING? GO GIANTS! (This sentiment expires on 10/13/21) I'm hoping for an Astros-Brewers series since those are the teams that swapped leagues. And adding Milwaukee to the burnt to the ground list when we win is just gravy.
Entering the season, oddsmakers posted a regular-season win total of 74.5. The Giants became just the second team since 1994 to surpass their win total by at least 30 games. ... "We didn't think they had a real chance to do this," SuperBook executive director John Murray told ESPN, adding that they expected the Arizona Diamondbacks(52-110) to finish higher. "We consider the Dodgers to be the best team in baseball. We've thought that the whole season and thought it was just inevitable they would pass the Giants." Anybody that said they knew Belt,Crawford,Longoria and Posey would have the seasons they have had is f**king lying. By all normal career arcs this offense should have been decent at best
No one knew, sure. But we need to remind ourselves that there are teams that hate the Dodgers more than we do. And when that hate translates into motivation, players and teams can rise up out of no where.
