2 games in, but I have to say we have A LOT of pieces and I am confident to say this team can easily win 40+ games. However it would require a coach who knows how to push all the right buttons and unfortunately Silas just isn't it. So I am predicting a 15 win season, unless Silas is fired mid-season.
Last week I said 35... After these 2 games, I'm going 25.. Rebounding and hero ball will be our biggest issues.. And there's plenty in between.. I don't have the energy to point em out..
I predict around 26 wins and to be towards the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency, defensive rating, and 3 point percentage
I definitely think it's somewhere in the 25-35 range. After last night, I'm leaning more toward under 30 than over. There's talent, but a lot of growing that needs to happen. I also don't think they will be particularly motivated to make moves or changes midseason to them win games. They have their pick in the next draft, and Stone will want to take advantage of that before OKC owns their draft picks in a couple of years.
I'm low on Silas but yeah, this is ridiculous. No coach can be the difference between a 15 win team and a .500 team
Ah, another bad hot take disguised as a poll thread. There is no way in hell this team has a worse record than last year, are you kidding me with this?
Defense and offensive efficiency are going to be problems for this team. If they are healthy they will have a puncher's chance any given night. But I think they will have problems closing out the games that they are in. The potential of the Rockets is something close to a .500 team. The reality of where they are, given how young they are, is probably 20-25 wins.
Both their offense and their defense looked so bad last night. I knew this young of a team would struggle, but we just got manhandled every second until the third stringers got put in. I'm thinking somewhere between 18-23 wins. But I chose the option for 10-20 since I couldn't pick 15-25.
Lol I can already forsee all the Silas complaining threads this coming season. The team is raw and raw teams lose. Deal with it. Even LeBron lost a bunch when he was a rookie.
Do not know yet, i will know after the final preseason game but we need to play well against Toronto.
I think it’s somewhere between 25 and 30 but not because of last night. Even a good rockets team has stinkers, let alone preseason ones. But there’s too much inexperience in this group for them to be any good. I expect the games to be more fun though.
Last week, I said 28-30 wins. I think we can win 32-33 games after seeing a few games. Definitely agree we may have a hero ball issue.
(Maybe for the hot take thread?) Need to adjust. 22-24 wins is optimistic. Looking like a 17-win team again.
