    Yeah I think we know now who will NOT be the starting small forward this year. House is getting close to the Anthony Lamb territory of being bad. And the Rockets need to play KJ Martin more minutes. If we going to be bad i rather be bad by playing the young guys. Tate and EG would have helped tremendously tho.

    Wall is not helping porter on the court. He is taking the ball out of his hands and trying to take over. Porter will take his lumps and will be better for it.

    Alright. Enough is enough. I understand this is just the preseason. But Alperen Sengun is the real deal. It’s time to start talking about this more.

    There’s just a certain amount of trust a team has to have in a young center to put him in these positions and know he’ll make the right play. His passing at this stage in his career is already advanced. This is off one bounce, turning and flinging it to the weak-side corner for a wide-open look. That takes poise in real time.

    Remember that thing we talked about earlier about Houston setting simultaneous screens? It’s back again. Now, Sengun becomes the decision-maker with the ball at the top of the key. Both Nwaba and Wood will curl from the corner, leaving Sengun with the choice to make of where the ball should go. He makes the right call, with Nwaba attacking Max Strus at the rim. It’s nothing flashy, per se, but it’s good, smart basketball. Those calls earn you more and more minutes. He’s going to play a lot for this team this season.

    “For sure,” Silas said on putting Sengun in more of such situations. “He’s gonna have the ball at the high post. He’s gonna have the ball at the top of the floor because he’s such a good passer. He also has a killer shot fake that allows him to drive the ball in the paint and spin. He has an amazing knack as he spins to know where everyone else is. He spins with purpose, that’s great to have.”

    Did anyone see that over the head pass Sengun made to KJ Martin?!? I wish KJ would of been able to go up and dunked that. The pass nearly made me cream myself.
