I get your point. But that extra two years is crucial. That presumably is when the rookies are coming into their own and we are ready to compete. We definitely don't want a deadweight contract at that time to clog up roster moves.

The bottom line of all these Simmons on the Rockets debate comes down to whether you have faith on Simmons being worth what he is paid. We all have seen that Simmons as is now is way overpaid (and therefore has very low trade value). It all hinges on whether you think he will up his value two years down the road. To me, the likelihood is very small.

    Pennies on the dollar.

And Simmons - Turner - Sabonis will be a horror show.

^The only part of all that gibberish you wrote that matters.

That’s the core of the squad.

    Nice try tho.

Nice try by you.....trying to make it sound like the Nuggets did it strictly
    by the draft.

Simmons right now would put us up and over the 10th seed in the West just
like Denver was able soon after they obtained Paul Milsap and Trey Lyles and Nick Young

You are a complete goofball if you think any NBA *team is 100% comprised of all players they drafted.

You’re trying to frame it in a way to fit your own narrative what I said was the Rockets should team build like the Nuggets did.

The CORE of the Nuggets team are players that they drafted.

    Again….nice try.

But Nuggets did not tank multiple seasons for top 5 pick that CF is lobbying for.

Only a few teams have attempted a strategy that extreme, without success.

No im showing you the difference between Rockets and Nuggets and you don't like it.

Nuggets had a ton of free agent/traded vets like Paul Milsap, Gallinari, Nick Young,
Jerami Grant, Will Barton, Isaiah Thomas, etc

    Wood is barely blossoming
    Theis is borderline backup
    Augustin is decrepit
Porter is kinda a rookie because he is learning point
House is in the Dog House with the City of Houston

You don't see the difference? That's on you. Two totally different team
    structures

    Well @liveguy what say you?

You have only strengthened my case for trading for Simmons......
equivalent to the Nuggets bringing in Gallinari.

Same stage of both teams trajectory of growth

Porter at PG is not ready for primetime against good NBA players...we might need Wall
Green is a rookie but he is a FIGHTER!
    Need a SF....Gordon
PF..Wood is not playing with that CHIP on his shoulder anymore....not taking it serious(did someone promise him already for a max contract?)
Theis he is a boaderline backup Center...he is not PHYSICAL, and do not get rebounds.....sad

You got me mixed up with someone else, bruh.

I never said Simmons wouldn’t make the Rockets a better team.

I just want the Rockets to allow the solid foundation they appear to have drafted in one swoop (particularly Green, Sengun and Christopher), to stay together and build with each other.

If it were to happen, dope…if not…keep building.

Sounds like a plan based on hope and a prayer.

    Mystery Box strategy is weak.

But Denver didn't give a crap about that......bringing in Paul Milsap, Trey Lyles, Nick Young,
Wilson Chandler, Roy Hibbert, Will Barton, Gallinari, Isaiah Thomas, Jerami Grant, etc was
about winning as many games as they could.

It's just a bad comparison to today's Rockets....end of discussion. Let it go. You lost, bruh

You made it seem like we should be more like Denver of a few years back. Yeah that would
mean bring in a bunch of free agents/trades In a span of 4 years. From 2016-2020.
    Include Aaron Gordon most recently.

Yeah I'm hearing 76ers want Jalen Green in a package for Simmons.

Sorry Philly, the deal is Wall and possibly House, Eric Gordon, Augustin in a trade
plus maybe two first rd's and up to two second rd's......maybe? If you are lucky.

More than likely involving multiple teams.

    LMAO...lost what?

Hahahaha...that's hilarious that you think you're right when you admitted the core of the Nuggets was drafted by...

    ...wait for it.....

    ...THE NUGGETS.

You can keep talking in circles if you want to, bruh.

    Sh*t is weird...but do you.

The 76ers are nuts if they think Green and/or KPJ should be on the table for Ben Simmons.

Agree with you liveguy. You won this argument. Denver adding FA’s to enhance their core (that they drafted). It is too early in the process to bring in a super max who can’t shoot and wants to be the lead dog. I respect Apache’s views and posts, but not on this one.

KPJ notched 25 points and 5 assists last game from the PG position despite Silas not running any set plays. KPJ will be fine.
