I am always surprised when a ball he elevates stays in the park. He's almost squaring up the ball at the right time of year. But I'd love to HEAR a few more of his shots like the one a couple of weeks ago. That's when he really barrels the ball. His biggest problem when he's in the groove is hitting the ball so hard, doubles become singles because they get to the outfielder so fast.
We've got a long way to go to be that bad. But some drunk fans do stupid things. Some are just mellow, some are obnoxious and some throw up on you. Only one is tolerable if they don't drive home.
That's dumb if JV actually wanted to do this. You haven't played all season, and you want to throw the first pitch like you've done something?
I don't believe that wannabee is reporting. He is stirring the pot to sew discord. He's a modern "journalist" creating a narrative rather than reporting. JV was in a unique position of having a year with his wife and daughter during a season where outside contact with the team was being minimized. It's not like Bregman who was at the games while on IL, but still part of the protected group and not outside that group.
