Dodgers and Giants with an epic division race. The dodgers are stacked with talent and seem to be hitting now. They are prohibitive favorites to win the WS, even if they have to go to a wild card. The only hope is that Wainwright shuts them down.
People act like the Giants are a slightly better Mariners team. The Dodgers lost the season series 10-9, on top of that, the Giants have a +203 Run diff, comperable to us and Tampa. Saying the Dodgers are the prohibitive favorites to win the WS despite going through a wild card over a 106/7 win division winner is absurd. Besides, the Dodgers had a similar team in 2019, look how that turned out.
The Giants are the NL version of the Rays. Bunch of high floor guys throughout the lineup and bench that are ultra-consistent and deliver quality AB's. Their pitching staff similarly has versatility and different sort of weapons throughout the starters and bullpen. They just don't have the names or the recent history to register as much as other teams... but no doubt, they're going to be tough. The Dodgers have the best overall lineup in baseball. Even without Kershaw, they have the best starters. Their bullpen can be had. Their manager makes his share of mistakes. They're going to either win like they normally win or lose like they previously have. Neither outcome would surprise me.
Not everything revolves around financial success. But I do admit they have the best pharmaceuticals in the nation. They never get caught. Just suspected.
Speaking of getting caught cheating, I find it funny that the only MVP caliber player to regress into total ineptitude after the MLB cracked down on sign stealing cameras was Cody Bellinger. It makes the Dodgers even more impressive that they're this good with two pitcher-level batters in their lineup. Besides, not everyone's going to Cali, look at the A's lmao.

I'm glad the Angels got rid of Cron when they did and for who they did. I rue the day that franchise gets their **** together.
LAA keeps acting like an NBA franchise with 3 or 4 exceptional players expected to carry the team. It hasn't worked so far.
I hope Click is prepared to push for Correa in the few days between the end of the season and November 1st when the MLB season officially ends under the old agreement. Following Schmidt's lead.
Correction. The current agreement expires on December 1, not November 1. But whatever the dates, I'm referring to the time between the end of the season and the date at which FA begins where the current club still has exclusive rights (above board) to negotiate an extension with the player. I think I'll start a thread exclusively for the MLB/MLBPA Negotiations so I don't interrupt the flow of other threads about FA and players.
How long before the BOSTON CHEATED articles? GO ST LOUIS! Imagine a Division Round without Yankees and Dodgers. MLB would be having fits. They may even include it in the new MA. LAD and NYY get automatic berths in the ACS and NCS, regardless of record for the good of BASEBALL.
The defensive positioning rule is essentially save the Yankees from the shift rule because they are too stupid to hit it where the players are not.
I've noticed the Yankees and MLB seem to want everyone else in baseball to become the Washington Generals to the Yankee's Globetrotters.
