I'm not worried about a bad shooting night in Green's first ever NBA game. Getting up 14 shot attempts cleanly is more important. None of his shots were bad shots. He just had a bad shooting night. But it's clear he can get his shot off any time he wants which is more important at this stage of his development. He has the confidence, athleticism and skillet to get up a clean look almost anytime and that's great for a 19 year old rookie.

    Keep shooting kiddo.

He also showed composure in the pick and roll game dishing out effective passes to bigs and open 3 pt shooters.

And KPJ's scoring versatility is impressing me more than his playmaking. He just has many ways to score. He's got a deep bag.

I think this backcourt in the future can be a more talented and larger version of Dame and McCollum. Neither of them are pass first guards. Similar mold with KPJ and Green.

Silas is either clueless or a pure genius!

Haven't found JG openly talking about his height in any interview yet…but i remember KPJ last week disclosed to media he is 6-6 n said 'taller than JG/JayGup'

Yo can easily judge on that (see below Twitter pic)

    MVP!
he just knows how to play basketball, he super strong and super duper smart, i dont think hell have any problem guarding embiied, and attacking him on the other side, my only dissapointment with him is missing fts... i hope its just the jitters...
given larger usage he could contend for the real MVP, ROY award is well below his abilities

I know it's their first Pre-season game but Silas need to find more time for Brooks and a way to get Wood more shots.

Brooks is our best shooter and by bringing him into the game it's going to automatically spread the court for the other players. And for the mere fact that he's our best FT Shooter, he should've played more last night.....he needs to be on the floor! Hopefully after the trade deadline we'll have a four guard rotation of KP, JG, JC and AB.

Wood seems to be floating around on the outside, just standing around. He needs to get more touches down low to get going.

From looking at the game last night, I think the Rockets have a lot of pieces. A LOT OF PIECES. I'm curious to see how Silas is going to devie out playing time.

KPJ was impressive throughout the game. He showed commitment on defense too. His range on his jumper should get better with experience. He has been working on it.
Wood scored nicely around the basket with improved foot work. His passing and court vision has gotten better. He was trying to develop chemistry with Theis. Green didn't shoot well, but he brings a scoring touch which no one can teach.

Alperen looked nice out there. Slightly better than I expected. JC showed off his improved jumper. Garuba will come around. His 3 point shot was much needed. A promising start.

Kpj's hair can help obstruct opponent's court vision. :p

Silas said before the game that probably 12 players would play and that he was
only going to run a few plays.

He was looking for chemistry of players vs X's and O's

So when you mention Wood performance of just standing around.....Wood
was being used to draw the opposing Big out to the perimeter. Create space
    as well.

When the Rockets run the whole playbook, then you will see different nuances.

But seriously, this post would have looked great in the “hot takes” thread.

That is the problem with playing Wood at the 4, he will naturally be pushed to the wings. Wood needs to realize his best position is at the 5.
