    Great book by Phillip Meyer (adopted Texan), I hope they do this more justice as a TV series than they did to The Son (which is somewhere on or near the top-10 list of best books I've ever read) which somehow AMC turned into a complete crapshow on the screen

    Steve Martin and Martin Short are amazing in it. It's one of the best shows I've watched this year.

    I've mentioned this before in passing, and knowing nothing about your show but the title, it reminds me of "Bored to Death" for some reason.

    Ted Danson, Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifinakis (I'm not googling how to correctly spell those last names). It was a fantastic show that went under the radar, if you haven't seen it.

    Reading a brief synopsis on Bored to Death you might be right. I'll have to check this show out because I'm a big Schwartzman fan.

    Midnight Mass:5/10. If you were to take away the first 4 episodes of this 7 episode 'limited series' it would have been a 10/10. Thought it did a fine job showing how people can use religion to do or excuse awful things but the ultra slow burn can be a little too much. If you make it to episode 5 intact, you're in for a treat.

    Didn't think I'd be into this show, started it with doubts that I'd even finish the first episode and my wife and I got hooked.

    I've been catching up to Nathan For You episodes on hbomax. It originally aired on comedy Central 5ish years ago.

    Mostly hit or miss cringe reality TV but I haven't laughed so hard on some of the bits

    Well, I've watched the subsequent 2 episodes of La Brea, and they've gotten a little better, but ... still painful. The third episode at least made it somewhat intriguing... somewhat. I'm not sure it can make up for horrible CGI, weak acting, weak dialogue/script, and some weak science. But ... I'll try episode 4.
