    Who cares about Harden?

This is about trading Wall (a player who wont even play) plus a vet and/or picks for a young all-star player!

Seems Wall plus Gordon plus a pick or two is a great trade for both!

Simmons would average a triple double with this team.
You all do know that Simmons is going to be a better scorer this season right? Whether it be from the free throw, a midrange shot or hook shot. An embarrassed and angry Simmons will be a better scorer this season.

It was a reply to someone, DD., and just to be clear, I don't care about Harden anymore than I care about any other star player on another team. He's no longer a Rocket. I was making a comparison to Simmons, again, in response to a post directed at me. If that bugs you, go wash the driveway in front of your house. Our homeowners association is upset with you.

All about unloading Wall's contract. I don't think anyone here is even debating that. But if we are so hell bent on unloading Wall why not wait the year when the contract turns into an expiring. Some team will love it. We are in no rush to make moves. As long as Wall doesn't turn into a locker room Cancer and goes around to the media like Simmons is doing we still can hold our ground to make sure we get exactly what we want. Patience is key right now. Rushing a situation that doesn't need us to give up valuable assets like Gordon and a pick makes no sense.
We do not need to trade just to trade. I know this has been a somewhat boring off season but watching KPJ Green and Wood this season without anyone's ego interfering will be reward in itself!

I don't get why everyone's so obsessed with wanting to trade John Wall.

Can't we just pay him 30 million to hit up strip clubs for a year to not infect the youngin's with his ballhog loser mentality?

LOL - what? My driveway is clean as a whistle sir....but you need to take that old rusty bucket of bolts off blocks and donate it before they come after you for working on your car in your driveway!

    ;)

BTW Deckard, did you happen to notice that we spend like $13k a year in homeowners tax just to live here......Smithville here I come!

Maybe Simmons is playing a chess game with Morey. The less value the 76ers get the better Simmons’s destination team is going to will be. Remember Simmons’s contract is guaranteed so he is going to be paid the same but be better place if his value is lowered. Basically saying keep a few checks so I can play on a better team long term. Hopefully Simmons has to approve the trade putting even more pressure on Morey. The only thing more condemning would be showing up, out of shape, and then playing like Harden did for us. Simmons seems to have more class than Harden by letting the team move forward without him.

Did you look at attempts? Lebron is a career 7.6 fta, Simmons is 4.9. So 35% more attempts at 10% more efficiency, big whoop? Right? Big whoop? But wait consider that Lebron is a spacer now and took 6 (SIX) 3 pt attempts last season. You know Klay Thompson? Dude average 7 3 pt attempts for his career. You realize that as a 3 pt spacer Lebron's ft attempts will go down now due to the new nature of his role right? When he wasnt taking 3s Lebron's ftas reached 10 fta a night. You think that's somebody's who scared to shoot? Bro 4.9 is someone scared to shoot not more than double that amount.

So lemme get this straight, Bron is now a spacer taking just 1 less 3 pt attempt than Klay but he is still shooting more fts at higher efficiency thab Simmons who has no jumpshot and scores 100% via layups and dunks? Btw Lebron is 36 and in the twilight of his career, Simmons is in his prime and 26 right? Big whoop your ass :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'd rather suck off Lebron's knee caps than Simmon's ******* like what you are doing. If you gonna stan someone stan one of the greats jeezus christ. You are the one who needs to get outta here comparing Simmons to Lebron is like comparing SouljaBoy to JayZ

I can understand Kobe stans and MJ stans but Simmons stans???? Pathetic.

I take back my "get outta here" comeback. Its entertaining AF seeing you get clowned by everyone when you said Simmons and Lebron are somehow on the same level. Even Paul Pierce will say you are delusional.

LeBron was a better FT shooter early in his career.....but has always had the reputation
of not wanted to attack in the fourth quarter due to FT issues late in the game.

    Just keep sucking, though

    cont'd from post #791

Simmons free throw rate (per basketball-reference.com):

Simmons career FTr: .425 (reg season)...... .509 (playoffs)
LeBron career FTr: .404 (reg season).......... .430 (playoffs)

Do we also know another player that shot in the 60% range from the FT line?
Christian Wood shot 63% from the free throw line last season. Big Whoop

Free Throw shooting aspect of Simmons is being blown out of proportion. Imo.

6'7 Scottie Barnes was the 4th overall pick in a deep draft.

Simmons does everything better than Barnes.

Except he does it at 6'10.

Barnes is 20, Simmons is 26.

Also Barnes isnt scared to shoot fts unlike Simmons. Barnes has shot more 3s than Simmons. Barnes is on a rookie scale salary Simmons is making the max.

So what? Its not to the degree of Simmons who shot 1 fg or less in multiple 4Qs. Your argument is just some biased heresay with no stats to back it up AND even then, when the last time Lebron passed an open dunk?

Did you look at attempts disparity yes or no?

You are blatantly cherry picking stats like an ostrich burying your head in the ground. Both Lebron and CWood hit 3s and spend a lot of time at the 3 pt line. Simmons can only score via layup drill and dunks. A guy that limited only takes 4.9 fts a game? Lol.

Are they playing the same role with the same personnel in the same system? Yes or no

You are missing he premise of what I'm saying. Remove Embiid/Tobias Harris from
the picture and you get a different Ben Simmons!!!!!!! Different stats!!!!!!

Quite often players drive to the rim.....get fouled.....see the ball go thru the rim by way
of FT.......shoot better from the field as a result.

Do you know how many FT's Ben Simmons shot in the Utah game in Utah without Embiid?
He was 12 out of 13. Different role.....used differenly. Which is what I've been saying if you
would listen.....Ben Simmons is being used wrong in Philly!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite being used wrong he has been an All Star 3 years in a row

this is the penny pinchin at its finest!

we have several young players(some of which are already better than simmons) that need to be ball handlers and need playing time to develop and you would welcome a toxic deeply flawed player here that needs ball in his hands all the time to be effective just to save some money or use all the resources(wall sittin)?
we dont need simmons the same way we dont need john wall
