You fail to see that LeBron has struggled with that most of his career. Why?

Do you not want to hear LeBron criticism? You block it out mentally? It's a well know fact
    about his free throw shooting.

Many in basketball and out have commented on this.

I could link article after article on the matter. All I did was Google, "is LeBron afraid to shoot
free throws?" Tons of articles appear. Not hard to do. Or do you lack work ethic. Easy to judge
others but how about yourself? Do you always go the extra mile and improve? Your career is
always getting better? He who casts stones in glass houses.

Simmons not only isn’t improving but he’s getting a little worse each season since his rookie season

LOL. Again.... Lebron took the 2007 Cavs to the Finals while Simmons passed up a dunk because he was afraid. It's embarrassing to compare the two players

Lebron has proved himself in battle and Simmons has not. It's very simple and doesn't require any googling.....

Those numbers aren't great. If I were advocating for acquiring Simmons here, I would want his non-Embiid numbers to be much better than that. He averages more point without Embiid but is more inefficient.

But the narrative now is that Embiid (and possibly Tobias Harris) has been holding Ben back. Surely if you put Ben on a team without any MVP candidates or borderline All-Stars we'd get a monster version of Simmons. Granted that team doesn't sound promising but, hey, monster Ben Simmons = .500 team!

I think there is some validity to the lack of fit, but that doesn’t explain the lack of Simmons development.

He scored 2 ppg more without Embiid. The assists and fg% numbers were almost identical. That doesn't tell me he would be a significantly better player with "his own team."

I am extremely skeptical that Simmons will be much better with a change of scenery. What you get is what you see now. What you see now is a very good role player being paid a max contract till 2025.

The GARM would melt down if Ben Simmons passed up a dunk in a playoff game
Or miss like 10 free throws in a row

According to fivethirtyeight.com's stats (specifically their proprietary RAPTOR stats) last year:

Ben Simmons ranked 4th on the team in Defensive Box Score RAPTOR, behind Thybulle, Embiid and Green
Ben Simmons tied for 5th on the team in Total Box Score RAPTOR, behind Embiid, Thybulle, Green, Korkmaz and tied with Harris
Ben Simmons tied for 3rd on the team in Defensive On/Off RAPTOR, behind Korkmaz, Thybulle and tied with Embiid
Ben Simmons was 5th on the team in Overall RAPTOR score, ahead of Harris but behind Korkmaz.
Ben Simmons did, however, rank 3rd in WAR behind Embiid and Danny Green

    Overall, last year:

Ben Simmons' Defensive Box Score RAPTOR score (+2.0) had him tied with OG Anunoby, Deandre Ayton, Jokic, and current Rocket Daniel Theis.
Ben Simmons' Defensive On/Off RAPTOR score (+2.2) did have him tied with Embiid with both right behind LeBron James in 40th place
Overall, Simmons' overall RAPTOR score (+2.2) had him tied with Michael Porter Jr, Trae Young and Bam Adebayo for 63rd place.
Simmons' WAR score (4.7) has him tied with Jaylen Brown and TJ McConnell at 51st place.

    Simmons' WAR score since 2017:

    2017-2018: 9.0
2018-2019: 3.0 (I'll let his defenders blame Butler on this one)
    2019-2020: 5.3
    2020-2021: 4.7

He just doesn't like shooting in general. Three's and midranges, doesn't matter. The promise was that he was a high IQ player that could create phenomenally while being athletically superior at his size. They all thought he would be able to shoot in no time with decent coaching.

Back then the East was so bad.....LeBron could have taken Anthony Lamb, Armoni Brooks, Cam Oliver,
Patton and Ray Spalding to the finals that year.

We shall agree that we disagree.

Thank for being civil...... apologies if I crossed the line. Take care

This is interesting, but this forum is about basketball. RAPTOR and WAR: are those card games?
