I'm guessing the 15,000 deaths you're referring to is citing VAERS data. The problem with VAERS data that nobody ever bothers to mention is that it's totally unverified reports. Someone can get a vaccine, have a heart attack 24 hours later and die, and it could be reported as a death to VAERS regardless if it has anything to do with the vaccine whatsoever. But there's nobody actually checking those adverse health reports to see whether there's any connection to the vaccine at all. That's pretty important context to consider when you're talking about deaths being blamed on a vaccine supported by medical professional globally, don't you think?
Yep... there is no quality control check or third party investigation for much of that unlike in the clinical trials.
The success of this thread makes me want to start a Ted Lasso thread in the GARM. We might get more discussion here.
I don't really get what point you're trying to make here. Should we not, as a society, value the lives of those with serious health conditions? If 5 million had died globally and 700K+ in the U.S. from the virus, and that group was all relatively healthy individuals, should that matter more somehow?
Lolwut. Can you stop posting? The Pfizer vaccine is fully approved, and is off emergency use. This is exhausting.
Lock this thread! Or move it to the political forum nobody is getting convinced of anything, people have dug into their sides and will literally die on there hill. talk to your doctor, take a science class, and grow up. I swear this will get more burn then our whole preseason.
Nothing compared to an explosion of posts if someone has a break-thru positive test (ala CP3), esp if it’s Danuel House.
Good opportunity for the Rockets to buy low on some unvaccinated players like Wiggins, and others, that play in cities with vaccination mandates. If they can't play in one city, but can play in Houston they could end up getting good value.
It depends on your stance of how effective vaccination is to determine good value of an unvaccinated player. If u believe vaccination works and it protects the player and those around them from getting covid then no bringing around an unvaccinated player isn't safe for the team. Risk of infection is increased doing that. Infection risk regardless of vaccine or not still exist, but u dramatically reduce it with the vaccine. If u believe vaccines are just as effective as "natural immune" or healthy body aka useless big pharm med designed to track u. Then sure u roll the dice with that type of player cause if they got sick, it was bc they got unlucky. That aside being unvaccinated makes it harder on the org to accommodate and follow the nba strict guidelines
Sure were lots of players speaking out feeling like it should be about personal choice and not a mandate…. Starting with King James. Just gonna leave that here. carry on
King James supports kneeling during the nation anthem also, u gonna support that movement also since he is pretty passionate about that. All u my body my choice folks, only like to pick battles that suit your way of thinking. Plus im pretty sure there is no NBA vaccination mandate The only person that is really impacted by vaccination is Wiggins (due to san fran vaccination mandate) (correct me if im wrong).
Kyrie (possibly - at this point we don’t know if he is or isn’t vaccinated, he won’t answer yet). Why is this thread alive? Rockets are vaccinated. End of thread. Debates about the virus, the vaccine, or other players and teams should be moved to NBA or D&D.
