I am not getting a shot for something that by CDC numbers says I have a less than .0004% chance of dying from if I catch it ! Hell, I have a 1.6% chance of dying if I get in a car wreck on the way home from work today and I am not going to stop driving. I didn't get vaccines for the 1st 18 versions of Covid, or Influenza (FLU for those of you born post 2019 when they still called Covid the Flu), nor am I for the last 7 versions. And don't get me started on the science and the idiocy of masks. the Flu/Covid is about 1 micron in size. The holes in the very best mask are 3 microns in size so wearing your mask that looks like you have been painting my house is like trying to keep your hair dry in the shower by putting panty hose on your head. Great protection! Now those beautiful blue things idiots wear that the CDC has said were "Completely ineffective". the holes are 15 microns wide so only 15 Covid can go through each hole in that mask. To put it in terms for an idiot, it is like wrapping your house with a chain-link fence to keep mosquitos out. Don't get me started on the idiots wearing gators and bandanas! Oxygen deprivation is your best cure for not catching a virus in public. I'm not sure where you pulled that .0004% figure from, but it's definitely not a CDC number. CDC says as of today there have been 42,770,371 cases of COVID-19 in the U.S., and 684,884 of those have died. Simple math says that in this country, 1.6% of people who catch COVID will die. Depending on your age and other factors, that number will be higher or lower, but nowhere near the figure you quoted. I'd question your data source if I were you.
So why do people in the hospital surgeons, doctor and nurse wear mask if it doesn't work. We have vaccinations card for years..... this isn't something new.

A person 50 or younger who is not overweight with no serious medical history that has been exposed to the virus and developed antibodies naturally has no need to get a vaccine.

Some points there isn't an argument to be had so I will just touch up on key points I disagree with. I did get hung up on FDA approval vs emergency approval. There are many cases where things get FDA approved and end up having to be removed from market later on after new studies have been found so relying on FDA approval isn't a very good standard. It is very new research on the scale of medicines go. I do think there is a possibility of effects happening down the road just as I believe all the anti-vac studies can be a load of crap. The thing is I don't know the answer to any of that. I am not a person who is willing to put something in my body that hasn't been tested long term unless of course I am facing a situation that is very dire. My age and previous health record tells me that this situation isn't one of those cases. I am not anti-vac, I am wait and see. Everything is new as you say, and some new things don't go well. We have more than enough test subjects at this point to get definite answers so I am going to wait it out. I do not have the same faith in my government as some might have to blindly listen. I am looking at new case statistics vs vaccination rate and to me I do not see a huge effectiveness. If I was in my 80's my opinion might on getting the vaccine might be different but I am not. Your statement on people cherry picking arguments I do agree with. I think humans in general often do not know fully what they are arguing for or about and only repeat what they are told. This goes for both sides. I still think people should have the right to choose even if they don't fully understand why. I appreciate that you took the time to write what you did without making personal attacks. This risk vs reward is simply just not one I am comfortable with. I would rather take my chances getting covid since my age range and health circumstances look like I would stand a very good chance. I think I should have the right to make that choice for myself instead of having the government force these mandates upon me.
It actually is a CDC number, but it’s the overall likelihood of anyone under 40 in the US dying from COVID, not a percentage of those who have already caught it.

My uncle was in a car wreck and died. He had the Flu. List of Official cause of death on his death certificate....Covid 19! My sister is a medical encoder in a Dr's office. A patient came in for a broken leg. Tested negative for Covid. When he checked out, Dr made her change coding to a Covid case. She asked Why? Turns out they receive a money allowance from the government for each case reported. Now They test 100% of their patients and They bill at a rate of over 60% as having Covid so they can get the Government subsidy while less than 3% of their patents have actually tested positive. It's free money being offered by crazy Uncle Joe so how many other Dr's are taking advantage of that? You keep drinking the Kool-Aid
Can you please show me the report on what number of those people who died with covid died from covid? Are you 100% certain that someone who got in a car crash and had their ribs crushed puncturing their lungs ending up in the hospital ending up testing positive for covid didn't show up on those charts? Hospitals were getting subsidies for each person dying with covid. I just want to know what percentage of people died from covid and didn't die with covid.
