you mean jrue holiday, cp3, janis, middleton, and otherts(eg huerter if i recall well) putting midrange clinic in key games to win the games for their teams in playoffs or even to win the championship? lol i am sure that was 'an aberration' but man when legs are tired its ALOT LOT EASIER to hit the midrange
however many yanis midrangers hit in games 5 and 6 of this years finals would have done it boy i also vividly remmember jrue holiday going nuclear on the suns from midrange in game 5(and that was the game)...it could have been harden... dont tell me jrue is a better midrange shooter than harden
Im talking about the whole league taking more threes man. Middleton and Chris Paul have always been good at the mid range.
fun fact 2014-2015 season Rockets were taking almost 40% of their shots behind the three pt line Bucks has been taking less than 30% of their shots behind the 3 pt line before prior to 2018 But by 2018 and 2019 season they took 42% of their shots behind the arc a whopping 12% increase 3rd in the league And by 2020 season they adjusted it a bit and took "only" 40% of their shots behind the arc and they won the chip that's the new NBA. going from taking less than 1 third of your shots from behind the arc to almost half of your shots behind the arc shooting more three's equals success no doubt the problem is gping to the extreme and being stubborn, not adjustng, and totally ignoring the midrage
I know we’re supposed to not like this guy. But seriously he is unbelievable. This guys workout mix is incomparable. Everyone else goes half speed in theirs. He’s going full out and is a joy to watch. The speed and quickness combined with the power and stroke are so special. Getting over the gate for just a bit I’m glad we got to witness such an offensive savant and his bag.
Props to giannis for his cheap shot to step under and injure kyrie. That team probably required more injury luck to win a title then anyone ever? They were drawing completely dead vs the nets and basically dead vs clips and lakers. Bucks vs sixers is a toss up if embiid doesn’t tear his up knee.
Nobody is against taking more threes than a decade or so ago. What we are talking about is taking ONLY threes. Which teams have copied that? Tell me, how is it a good strategy? Shrink the areas where you can operate your offense enabling the opposing defense to concentrate on guarding less space.
