you re trying to be fair and its ok he may be terrible coach or he may be a championship material but why take that gamble...?
we dont own silas nothing ....

make silas assistent or let him go to clevelend or some trash franchise to prove himself first

its enough of the trouble that our youngins are unproven and unknown, and unfamiliar with the territory
why throw even more variables in the mix?!...you need a strong hand with the rookies, give me some proven coach! we need a true leader!

Yeah, I don't know why people make hateful comment about him. Let's see what he can do with a bunch of young talents.

It's kind of weird to make a documentary for someone after just one year. Next are they going to make one for Patrick? ;)

Have liked him from Day One. He has a distinguished pedigree and was overdue a head coaching position.

Many folks here never gave him a chance and judge him based on the **** sandwich situation he was handed last year.

you turned a beautiful game of skill into a game of luck?

lol this is why tanking is poisonous...all that mater to people is getting high picks....

lets see?! it reeks of amateurism and negligence....you dont succeed by letsseeing....you dont throw **** to the wall seeing what will stick....this is the way to ruin and not develop the talent.... you find a proven ELITE coach, that is how you succeed!

you will need to tank forever if you mess the development part entrusting it to no tru coach and no true leader...years go by fast its negligence to entrust this much of talent to a questionable coach...he will ruin some and those who develop will ask for the trade soon and will want outahere!

Well, I don't think any coach can win a lot of games with a bunch of 20-year-olds as your core with half the roster of new players. Silas deserves a chance to show what he can do with a stable roster without any drama.

I am not for tanking per se. But it's the reality when you lose your franchise player. I'd rather rebuild with promising young players than getting stuck with second rate star on a mediocre treadmill. Last season was the real tank after Wood went down. This season is just part of the process. Developing the players is the top priority. Although winning is secondary, the coach should try his best to win by trying out different things. That's why we want to see if Silas has what it takes to win in the future.

So you’ve posted 62 times about how terrible our Coach Silas is yet you’ve not even taken the time to watch this short documentary? Me thinks you might have some blind rage about him. What do you think that’s about?

Silas is proven in terms of player development that’s area of specialty. His track record with young stars is solid.

We’re only 1 year into a rebuild. A coaching change isn’t appropriate until we build a competitive roster.

I like coach but he is in a development role. Once these guys mature a proven coach will finish the job. Thats the way the NBA works

I watched the piece. I thought it was very insightful. One thing I noticed is that he is extremely laid back and soft spoken. I'm hoping that is because it was a tanking/lost season anyways last year. After the losses you can see players in the back just joking around and fraternizing with the other team. McHale was the same way. Silas on the other hand would have a solemn look and seemed to have a piece of him die inside with every loss. I hope that rubs off on the players.
Great guy. Reminds me alot of Rudy when we got him. Hopefully one of the guys on the bench can be a CD.

Rudy was WAY more demonstrative and a positive force.

His offense was also groundbreaking plus defense was physical and relentless.

No one else was playing Rockets style back then, Rockets 4 out system was first to weaponize 3ball.

On a team with championship aspirations. Last years team and everyone knew we were garbage. Even people that don't watch basketball regularly knew were tanking.
This is the year we see if Silas has what it takes to reign in the kids. Can he take the children and turn them into men as he did with Donic. Green has alot of potential. Kpj should have an insane break out season. Silas's offense in Dallas was historic.
    I'm rooting for him.

I'm flipping a coin on which will be the better promotional documentary to watch, Schumacher, Silas, or the Internship.

    Lebron
    Steph
    Luka
    Kemba
    Baron Davis

That isn’t a good enough resume?

Look at Porter’s development at Point Guard last year. Or KJ and Tate’s development.

Silas has done great with our young guys.

Player development is literally his specialty lol.

@hakeem94 is a female. She is anti-tanking and I am as well, but she seems to be blaming Silas pretty hard when I'm not sure the evidence for her franchise direction problem points directly at him. That's my problem with it. @D-rock does something similar in my opinion.

The coach she mentioned is Obradovic and while he's been very glorious overseas, he's not as proven as she wants to believe. First off the rules here in the NBA are different. Second he is old. Old people do not adjust to ingrained ideology very easily. IE Euro rules and NBA rules aren't muscle memory for him. Third, he's untested in the NBA... completely. At least Silas is NBA tested. Sure, his winning percentage as a head coach sucks butt, BUT... the real test hasn't begun (for those giving coach a reasonable chance to prove himself) and that's where I think hakeem94 has a little bit of a blind spot for Silas. Last season was ALL CAPS ****ED and for reasons that had very little to do with him as a person or coach. So I think there's blind rage there because it's not really fair to blame Silas for your entire franchise. Fairness requires more than what she's giving him. I think she knows that. That's why I think she cooled off. At least she got to share her frustrations with others. That often helps.

At least we know @D-rock and @hakeem94 have their hearts submerged in Rockets red. That's the big thing. They're not like anti-Rocket fans or something.

I think a more patient approach is necessary here. I strongly believe it will pay off if everyone keeps their patience thicc.
