Old Van Halen with David Lee Roth would be my first choice

In the popular, but not popular enough category, I'd like to nominate Journey.

    The Kinks

On no planet or in any way is OG Van Halen "underrated".

Journey was massively popular, but they oooze Jersey cheese and so get mocked accordingly.

I think Journey's music is timeless though. I get the cheese part, but they're timeless more than any band from that era, imo.

I imagine in some weird world, twenty years from now some kid on the internet will be arguing that Nickelback was criminally underrated.

I would throw Boston (one of the greatest debut albums ever) in there with Journey.

Nickleback vs Bush: who ya got!?!

I'd probably go Nickelback, to be honest. Though even a couple Creed songs hold a dear spot in my heart. When my first child was on the way, I listened to "With Arms Wide Open" quite a bit.

Nah. While I think RHCP are one of the greats, FF is always compared to Nirvana, which is unfair. Much better band than Nirvana.
