Thybulle should be thankful to Simmons, because usually he would receive death threats and be run out of town for ****s up like that lol. Fans are crazy.

He’s not a reclamation project because he’s already very good. I know everyone trashes him but he’s an excellent player. He would help ruin our pick this season AND next, AND cost more picks, the actual price is astronomical. Dumping wall is irrelevant, there’s no need to dump him unless we are the team adding assets but trading him.

Who cares about picks when you'd have a young core of KPJ, Wood, Green, Sengun, and a version of Simmons that had significantly less pressure on him to do things on offense?

The reason to tank for picks is to get a team like that.... so why tank further if you can skip that step?

To get more bites at the apple! Chances are 0-1 of those young guys will be real championship level stars or even starters. Locking is now is just so so bad and crippling

Ah. So you're just REALLY low on KPJ, Wood, Simmons, and Green. Gotcha.

    I don't share that opinion.

KPJ is a budding star, Green could be as well, and I view Simmons and Wood as guys who could be the 3rd or 4th best players on a championship team.

I think that's better than the mystery box.

We don’t need any bricklayer like Ben Simmons.

It doesn’t matter if i’m high or low on them, i just want more shots at getting player with superstar upside instead of giving up now to chase the play in game

Well, it does matter, if you didn't think that KPJ, Wood, Simmons, and Green were garbage, you wouldn't think continuing to tank for the mystery box was the best option.

Clearly you think those guys suck, so you want to punt 2 or 3 more seasons hoping to get better players.

Not improving the team when you have the opportunity in order to cling to pick #28 makes about as much sense.

I’ve seen nobody suggest the Rockets should trade their own picks. While they have additional picks, they should use them in a useful manner. I don’t think that means using all of the picks themselves to fill out the roster.

Sigh. We have our own pick this season. That pick (assuming we suck) will be top 5. With simmons, we’ll likely be around 30ish wins which takes us out of the top 5 and into the 7-8 range. THAT is the biggest negative, not losing the nets pick (except the far away ones)

I 100% don’t think that core can win a title no, unless green turns into an mvp level guy. A no defense big, a no offense wing/big, and who knows what (if anything) kpj will be

In that scenario, you are passing on a 3x All-Star, all team, and DPOY candidate in order to possibly draft the next Hasheem Thabeet. You can have your approach, but I prefer mine.

Short and sweet, a contender for post of the year.

Anyone else find it hilarious the 76ers went from not wanting him or having his back (and rightfully so) to begging him to stay?

Morey saw how low his market value was and now they’re desperate LOL

Fair enough, I see that as 4 potential All Star caliber players, all of which are young and would be playing together for their primes.

Basically what you'd hope to get if you tanked for 4 or 5 years.

If I was as down on them as you, I might agree with you.

Y’all need to stop listing his awards like it really matters. Wall’s award trophy case is just as good.

If you really want the individual award trophy case let’s see if we can make it a 3 way trade and get Russ back instead.
