For the 3 batter minimum rule there is an exception that if a reliever finishes an inning but has not faced three batters, he does not need to come back for the next inning.

"If a pitcher faces one batter to end an inning, he may be removed, but if he is brought back for a second inning, he must still face two more batters for a total of three."

Yes, that’s why I said he could come in with 2 outs… and I was implying he’d be removed.

Dusty using him to start innings, as he did last night, prevents the small dose.

In other news, Raley may have just leapfrogged everybody and is back to being the first non Stanek-Graveman-Pressly option.

"But NO! Dusty is dumb. He is the DUMBEST Manager EVER! It doesn't matter that he has managed in a WS or gotten to multiple League Championship Series. I can manage better Dusty cause I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT BASEBALL from behind my keyboard!" - Astros fan on CF.

do you really find no fault at all in Dustys managing? Or don’t find it at all
Curious that he’s never been able to win a WS?

Of couse Dusty has faults as a manager. He makes mistakes. However, some of the criticism of him is absolutely DUMB.
You should look how many GOOD managers never win a WS. Dusty has taken 5 different teams he has managed to the playoffs at least once. That is something very FEW have ever done.

Now go ask Dusty how he used Siri last night and why.

    We're awaiting the response.

Dusty knew that sac fly attempt would be down the line, and that Chas being left handed playing in right would be a distinct advantage.

The constant blaming of Dusty about everything is a little absurd, and quite frankly, lazy and unsophisticated. No manager is perfect and every decision carries risks with it. Even for some of Dusty's more questionable decisions, when asked about it, it usually has a specific thought process behind it, including his subbing out Yordan last night.

When things are good, people kind of have to invent things to whine about. 91 wins, a big division lead, and making a push for the best record in the AL with a season full of injuries to key players and a streaky/unreliable bullpen.

Count your blessings folks, lest we go back to Cecil Cooper, Brad Mills, and Jimy WIlliams.

If Yordan vaporizes pitches the way he did that shot last night, he should play sore EVERY night!

Horsesh!t. He, weekly (bi-weekly? who cares), makes mind-boggling, indefensible strategic decisions that cost the Astros wins.

Anyone who has been paying attention for the last 2 years knows this, has seen this, and is tired of this.

    He's a great guy. He's a terrible tactician.

Wonder what Stanek family had? If it was a boy it was probably born with long hair.
