as a followup, this notion of trading wood for simmons is bat crazy imo skillwise, wood is a certified unicorn as a big man. and if you saw his social media the past several months, he's all in as a rocket. makes no sense to trade him out, for a guy 9 months younger who can't shoot and along with his agents probably eventually wants to be elsewhere (fakers)
I agree and with this mindset, I believe this gives Stone extra incentive not to take a sub standard deal. Obviously Wall wants to play this year and likely wants that to be with a contender, but from a Rockets perspective we shouldn't take back terrible contracts or sacrifice draft capital unless its for someone that fits are timeline and plan.
