    What's interesting is that I know of almost nobody angered by the term. Even in the same family different generations prefer, Hispanic, Latino, and LatinX. None of them is angry about the other members of their family using different terms.

    TIL Hispanic and Latin/o/x are technically different. The former has Spanish or Spanish speaking ancestry, and the latter are groups that come from Latin American counties Portugal and Spain colonized.

    I'm neither, but I'm guessing there are people who care where they come from when a history of rape and oppression come into play, or if you want to sugar coat it...a class hierarchy based off the amount of European or non-black blood you have.

    I’m pretty sure it’s a dumb Bernie Sanders Gringo who failed Spanish class because he couldn’t understand how to use verbs and pronouns
