I would trade Wall and absolutely nothing else for Simmons. He has no value to me, unless we would be re-flipping him.

Let Golden State bite that bullet. We can afford to wait until Wall is expiring and his deadline value goes up and finally rid ourselves of the overpriced contract PG merry-go-round.

    No.

You can get him for Wall and a 1st. Dude is going to be harder to move than Russell Westbrook. It's so ironic to see Morey sitting on the other end knowing he's going to have to eat this one. It's going to take serious technowizardy to win this trade.

No , if Simmons is the only option , I'd rather let Wall's contract expire and have $60m in cap space to add talent in that offseason.

Hell , it would take a very good young player for me to give up that $60m in 2023 cap space.

Simmons is not a "very good player" .... He gets played off the court when it matters most because he cant shoot and can't hit FT's.

I would not give up a single FRP for Simmons unless it is top 30 protected.

The Rockets should not take on a bad contract longer than Wall's. Two years from now is when we are ready to un-tank. They surely don't want a non-alpha still clogging up the cap space.

Would like Simmons, but 3-4 firsts is too risky

No chance. Simmons provides massive negative value for this season because we need to be as bad as possible

so much infatuation with Simmons. Don’t get it. If Houston didn’t want him before in the Harden deal they don’t want him now. Get over it. Move on.

Rockets out: Wall, Gordon, House, 2-3 FRPs
    Rockets in: Simmons, Kennard, Bledsoe

    Rockets Depth Chart
    PG: KPJ, Bledsoe, Augustin, KT
    SG: JG4, Kennard, Christopher
    SF: Tate, Nwaba, Martin
    PF: Wood, Sengun, Garuba
    C: Simmons, Theis

Rockets are set for the present and future. Give Simmons a new role. Not the primary perimeter creator (that's KPj) but primary post creator. Sort of like Jokic. But Simmons offense outside of creating will obviously be more screen setting, hand offs, and rim running instead of jumpshots. Defense improvement may be the most important aspect.

    76ers out: Simmons
76ers in: Gordon, Morris Sr., 2-3 FRPs

    76ers Depth Chart
    PG: Curry, Maxey
    SG: Green, Korkmaz
    SF: Gordon, Niang, Thybulle
    PF: Harris, Morris Sr.
    C: Embiid, Drummond

I don't see 76ers getting more than 3 FRPs for Simmons' current value. That value won't get any higher until the trade deadline. I don't think 76ers need to replace Simmons with an All-Star but with as many shooters as possible around Embiid. Maybe a pick + filler for Hield?

Clippers out: Bledsoe, Kennard, Morris Sr.
    Clippers in: Wall, House

    Clippers Depth Chart
    PG: Wall, Batum
    SG: Jackson, Mann, Johnson
    SF: Klaw, House
    PF: PG13, Winslow
    C: Zubac, Ibaka

Clippers get an elite playmaker which is much needed for this team. Plus Wall can play 2nd fiddle until Leonard is back. A more balanced team but lacks depth and height. Demarcus Cousins again? Clippers have to go all in as they don't have any picks for a while.

This 3-team trade may need a 4th team if Rockets don't want to give up 3 FRPs and 76ers want at least 3 FRPs.

yea ben simmons value around the league is still good. You could make those picks back by shipping simmons out, assuming he is healthy and doesnt sustain a serious injury

I largely agree, but the Bucks just did win a championship with such a player.
