HOUSTON – The reward was increased to $100,000 in the fatal shooting of New Orleans Det. Everett Briscoe.

Houston authorities -- including Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner -- announced the increase on Tuesday. Previously the reward was $10,000.

Businessman Tilman Fertitta announced the increased reward.

“I’ll raise the reward to $100,000 to support the Houston Police Department and all their efforts to find these criminals and to help solve this crime this weekend,” Fertitta said. And as an extra effort to do my part, I’m going to contribute $1 million to the police department when he needs to solve a crime. When he needs a tipster out there and he needs 25 or 50 or $100,000, I will give him the money to help take these violent criminals off the street.”

It looks like all these criminals have paper license plates. Cops should pull any car that has that and run their finger prints.

Mr. Ledet was facing life on his 2 pending charges so he decided to go ahead and commit this horrific crime. He had nothing to lose. Whoever put up his $3k to get out is probably pissed. Shouldve been a million.

Absolutely mind-boggling how we’re letting these animals free. I really hope After today’s news that the judicial system starts to tighten the belt on these felons

I don't know what the true statistics are, but it seems over the last 6 months, 95% of murders in Houston are by people currently out on bond for some pretty serious stuff and they have paper license plates. One article was listing the 3 judges with the most murders on their bonded people...basically excused themselves from having trials due to COVID and granting bonds to every single person, including violent offenders.

There are like a dozen murders in the last few weeks from just these three judges alone:

    Judge Lori Chambers Gray
    Judge Chris Morton
    Judge Natalia Cornelio
