hes of the worst kind of bust.. at least if you are anthonny bennet nobody even thinks youre any good so at least the teams avoid giving you the max and wasting years paying you the max and deluding themselves trying to make it work when in fact youre the sink... its one of the greatest parodies that people who root for tanking 'because otherwise its a mediocrity threadmill' are now rooting for trading for benn simmons who is a proven loser and a prototype of the player that cant win in modern nba...lololololol thank you basketball gods, this is a great show!
I don't see any way Philly takes that. If Morey was willing to take those two picks and a third pick of "meh" value, like the Brooklyn/Miami 2022 first rounder, I would seriously consider that if I was Houston. I would hate to move three firsts, but three mid-to-late first rounders to add Simmons and get out from under Wall's contract would be a hell of a good value. That being said, I feel like any contract that doesn't involve the Rockets' unprotected 2022 first rounder probably gets laughed at by Morey. I just don't see a way this trade gets worked out between the two sides who already don't like each other.
so simmons is a max player and wood isnt? lololololol ps i have an exciting bridge for sale, are you perchance interested?
ngl... I dont care how much players get paid. It's not my money. If you're getting 100 mil to shag balls, Im happy for you.
Yuck, man. Wall, Wood, two unprotected BKN firsts and a swap for a guy that was unplayable in the playoffs and will make $40 mil until 2025? We could do so much better with those assets than Ben ass Simmons
I'm only for this if we can get Ben Simmons on the cheap. I think Philly's asking price is too high for Ben Simmons going by what they asked for from Golden State. Also, I don't even think he wants to play here.
Adding Simmons and subtracting Wall would be a W for us, period. I’d rather have Simmons out there bricking shots than Wall sitting in street clothes on the bench. It’s not my money so I don’t care about that but keeping Wall and not even playing him makes no Flucking sense.
“Yeah, we can fix Ben Simmons!” “Yeah, we’ll finally get him a jump shot!” “Yeah, we’ll get him to take basketball seriously (instead of being a “socialite”)!” “Yeah, we’re not LA or NY but Simmons & Rich Paul will love it here!” “Yeah, I know he put off Brett Brown and has had minimal contact with Doc & Daryl, but he won’t put Stone/Silas off!” “Yeah, we’ll take him off the ball, make him the 3rd/4th/5th option and tell him that’s how he’ll succeed (and he’ll agree)!” https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nba/ben-simmons-postseason-struggles-philadelphia-76ers-joel-embiid
I think Simmons would make a hell of a center, and could actually be a really good fit without a jumper, but I'd have very little faith in anybody convincing him to change his role.
Porter - Green - Tate - Simmons - Wood Exum - Gordon - Nwaba - Sengun - Theis Augustin - Brooks - Christopher - Martin - Garuba 2021-22 Playoffs?
You can draft a rotation player and have him on a rookie contract when it comes time to extend KPJ, Green, KJ, Sengun, etc
