Nowadays every time Dungeons and Dragons get mentioned anywhere I immediately think of Vin Diesel.

As long as both fighters know what they're getting into, I have no issue with it.

Now, had the trans person tried to hide her last 30+ years or whatever of male testosterone from this opponent, under the auspices of HIPAA or whatever, I would have had an issue with that. But, as it is, no prob.

More fair of a fight than Alabama FB scheduling Mercer.

With lazy google research, the number of U.S. population, who's trans is something as low as 0.0040 % (year 2015, old stat but illustrating a point). It's an extremely small population, but seems to get the headline news.

If a person identify as a woman cool, and they shouldn't be targeted with hate crimes. But jeeze this seems too far. Why not start with a sport like tennis first. Like Billie Jean King. Even among the same gender like in boxing/mma there's weight divisions, because biologically some differences are big enough that they have to separate the participants.

Unless these surgery can correct everything... I'm doubtful the current science and medical procedures are that advance.

I think going forward this maybe the way to go.
The question is . . options.

I think this is esp in like Track and Field.
They can know . . .feel it is unfair .. . but have no recourse
like being kicked out of the NFL .. and someone says the CFL is an option
it is . . but is it really?

Also, it depends if the woman hit the dude first.

And also, didn't Cartman pull off a stunt like this on South Park?

Might boost ratings since it's the same 5 women competing over and over again.

Shouldn't happen period. I have a daughter and seems like a lot of people here don't.

Yea, and even that is inconsistently applied. In track/field, it depends on the event. There is no universally agreed upon standard. Most people think it's just as simple and checking junk. It's not that simple and nobody really agrees.

It's ridiculous until it's not. And when it's not, the rules change or new classes form.

Or people can stop watching altogether.

Then again, it's a trip for me to consider sports with $$$$$ attached as pure or has any sanctity whatsoever.

I agree conpletely about the voluntary thing.

But isn't there the anecdote of Connecticut girls track where two trans athletes now hold most of the state records? Records that stood for a long time?

I've heard this many times but I'm too lazy to look it up, to be honest.

In track and field, I'm pretty sure the high school boys champion 400 meter dasher would break women's Olympic records every year...

....like I said....lazy....please correct me if I'm wrong here.

I have 2 daughters. Again I just think this is about both parties being properly informed. So long as both fighters are aware of who each other is, I don't see the problem.

I think this whole topic is infinitely more complicated when it comes to school sports, but these are two adult professionals fighting for a sanctioned organization.

I'm more concerned about the ability to earn college scholarships. Guys shouldn't be participating in women's sports.

I do see your point professionally though if they agree to money. It just doesn't sit right with me in general though. If they want to create a separate league or division but women shouldn't have to deal with that if it's not an option. There's a reason why there are women's and men's sports separate

On another note, I recently got beaten badly at tennis by a woman. 6:1/6:2. It was a bit humiliating, but she was no. 300 in the world a couple of years ago, so I'm trying to tell myself it wasn't that bad.
