That way you ha e, if trailing, 1 or 2 giveaway AB’s all game if trailing. Messily make it with 12 pitchers. The goal should be to throw no more than 8 guys in a 5 game series in the ALDS. LMJ, Framber, Urquidy, Garcia, Stanek, Presley, Graveman and Javier maybe. You can Carey whoever the hell else you want including Greinke for mop up or extras, and whatever other 3 you want with the hope you never see them. Hel- I’d be fine with the idea of Marwin as a 15th position player and 11 pitchers in round 1. An extra utility piece in case of emergency.
I actually think Detroit is good (ish). They remind me of our 2014 team. I expect them to win more than they lose next year and be in quasi competition for a playoff spot. I think they are over 500 since May 1st.
detroit beats us too. Our offense is inconsistent and we do lose to bad teams. Its ok to lose to bad teams as all teams do. The Astros do it way too much for how talented they are. They do seem to really play down to the competition.
