As a whole the franchise is successful.

    What r u even smoking.
We r literally the only franchise that has yet to even sniff afc championship.
U hate people who sht on our franchise, well I hate delusional posters like u that praise it when it's literally reeks of mediocrity.

Awful last season is the keyword there though.

The media had you believe they were terrible for a decade when they weren't, they were a middle of the pack franchise, not the Jets, the team the media suspiciously was pushing him to.

Last season they were bad, the season before that they were a half away from the conference championship game.

My point is they weren't the worst run NFL team the media made them out to be. The owner doesn't care that much about the team, gave power to the wrong person (BOB) and has gotten rid of that guy.

Maybe the new FO guys are just as bad, too early to tell, but even up until that point they weren't the worst run football team in the NFL.

It's a 19 year old franchise. This is the dumb ish I'm taking about. Go root for the Browns

And your definition of successful is never making afc championship?
    We are basically the Bengals.
    Mediocre to the end.

The Texans used to be a well respected, middle of the pack team under Bob McNair, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team be this dysfunctional and incompetent in less than two years since cal took over.

There was a stretch of seasons from 2011-2016, where the Texans had a pretty good team overall, all we needed was a qb. Now we finally have one, but the rest of the team is a mess.

They’ve ****ed up everything since drafting Watson.

That’s more a function of O’Brien than Cal McNair. McNair firing O’Brien and giving the keys to Caserio has clearly changed the trajectory of this franchise.

    My point exactly
Years mean nothing, if u r owned by a shtty front office/owner.
If u want to compare the most recent expansion ravens. 1996. They already won 2 championships. Do u honestly think we r winning anything soon? Laughable.

They weren’t really an expansion team though

So don't get your panties in a bunch when we have different way of supporting our team. Not everyone had to b blindly b opmistic about a sht team.

I don't think anyone disagrees that BOB was a disaster. Yeah, BOB should have stayed in his lane, should have trusted the OCs he hired, should have never had the power to be GM, so on and so on, completely agree there.

I'm just saying, the Texans have been mediocre. That's been their issue. Mediocrity. They haven't been bad outside of one year here and there and the early expansion years. They've just been mediocre. Good enough to make the playoffs only to get smashed in the playoffs.

Yet the past season or so you could have sworn with how some people talked about them as if we were drafting top 5 every season.

Because if feels like they should be. That incessant mediocrity feels like total failure after enough years.

If anything has come from these first 2 games, it's what an absolute sh**show Bill O'Buttchin was as a coach and GM. I really hope any potential suitors for his future employment look at what he left behind and what happened almost immediately after he left.

The league changed expansion draft rules because of Jacksonville and Carolina quick success. The Texans didn't have access to the amount of players they did in the expansion draft. That's why Cleveland is their comparison

BO'B was great! Look at the fantastic teams (on paper) he helped build in Cleveland and Miami!

Mediocrity started long before BOB was hired.
