Solid example but yea I don't know how Toronto would see taking on Kennard and Morris while losing Precious when they're in a restock/reload mode, blending in youth with the VanVleet/Siakam/Anouby core.
That's the way.i saw it as well. Rehab session against live NBA comp. About working on explosion and lift. Not really about winning as the Rockets had their unspoken "tank" ordersSia Siakim and Anunoby have been rumored for months to be on the trading block. Raptors are taking an unusual path in their rebuild. They picked Scottie Barnes over Suggs not because of VanVleet; but because they envision running the offense thru Barnes like the Warriors do at times with Draymond Green. Barnes is their future. Running the hub of the offense thru him. At least that's what Confusius says.
In a heartbeat IF they could turn around and deal these guys! Especially if they could get back a few 2nds in return. Wall gone AND a few late picks? Win Win!
I think the Rockets can get picks for Luke Kennard, Eric Bledsoe Marcus Morris can help stretch the Floor with his 3s and play backup Power Forward. A contending team definitely would want these players at the trade deadline or before training camp. Eric Gordon Marcus Morris Eric Bledsoe Danuel House Jr. Luke Kennard Maybe replaced Anthony Lamb Matthew Hurt Dante Exum
Marcus Morris I wish the Rockets would keep because he would protect our Star Players like a Bodyguard, a likable player. Definitely would play hard for the Rockets.
Works for me: Houston in: Serge Ibaka / Bledsoe / M Morris X Los Angeles in: Wall / House ___________________________________ Easier for Tilman to buyout Bledsoe than Wall Exum added to Rockets squad.....probably Anthony Lamb gets cut. Just a hunch.
Well that's dumb. Because you'd likely get some picks when dumping Morris and possibly Bledsoe. Kennard would be the tough pill to swallow.
LAC is the only team that works for a trade. I do think Wall makes sense for some other teams if he goes the buy out route…DAL could benefit from a 2nd option to take the heat off Luka…for that reason I think EG is a great fit there (and elsewhere, TBH)… I think a Wall trade only happens if LAC scuffles out the gate. It’s interesting because LAC clearly needs a ball handler/distributor, Wall actually fits well with Klaw/PG as far as setting up the offense is concerned, but 42mil per year can really hamstring your depth options, so I get why they may want to go the buyout option. I would think LAC is the first buyout option for Wall. I could see BOS as a potential fit as well but LAC seems like the only feasible trade candidate where we don’t have to lose picks.
i think Stone believes he can flip Morris/Ibaka/Bledsoe easier than Wall. Morris and Ibaka should able to go to contenders and Bledsoe we will have to pay to get rid of.
I'm not saying this isn't a case of "where there's smoke there fire", but John Wall has been friends with Paul George and Eric Bledsoe for years. Wall tried to get George on the Wizards, so this could also be a return of the favor (?).
the clippers would be idiots to take on John walls contract. Then again I didn’t invision the Lakers willingly wanting to trade for westbrick
Only issue to me is that Bledsoe is one of the more desirable large contracts for salary purposes they have. They could use Morris in his place, but if we had to take on the extra years of Kennard and Morris — is it worth our while?
