Yeah, I kinda saw episode counts that puts the Chimera Ant around 64 episodes, I think, which is like as much as the previous ones combined. That's insane how long it is. Greed Island arc was fun. Phantom Troupe still best so far.
Chimera ARC was way to long, I liked some of the themes involved and we got to see some cool new characters but a **** load of padding. Sadly to say the ending Arcs are not that great either. Still good enough to finish, but it did not build on the great stuff at the beginning.
Haven't watched much but 86 was pretty good. Sci fi soldier genre. Took three episodes to get situated.
Finally got around to some stuff I saved on my watchlist.... I'm not sure how far along I'm going to get into Dr Stone.... I like the premise, but I don't think I like the characters.
Too much anime I have completely stopped being up to date. Im 4 season behind and I'm probably never going to catch up. Feels like there is an over saturation of good anime so no one is watching at the same time week to week and that is no fun.
Finished HxH. I share a lot of your sentiments. The ending fizzled out. Election was kinda pointless. Chimera Ant arc really dragged, although it had a beautiful ending to the arc. Phantom Troupe was still the best. I think a big criticism I have of the series is they dropped a lot of interesting characters.
The new evangelion movie is out on amazon japan... which means its out on torrents sites Lets see if this **** was worth the wait
This is the 4th film right? i still haven't seen the third one.. I dont think.. It's been so long. ngl I have no idea what any of the evangelion stuff means. im down to watch this anyway.
Still trying to figure out why every one loves HxH. I'm still stuck at the beginning of the Chimera Ant Arc. I will finish it eventually. hopefully.
This is the 3rd one. yea, Its been so long lol i'm not the biggest fan of the series, but i'll watch.
Supposedly Vivi is good and original but haven't had time to check it out. For HxH, just stop after Chimera Arc. Everything is half baked and the dude is either on life support or spending his royalties at a casino Been waiting for that **** for five ish years. Forgot about it but still have a soft spot for the original that got me into anime so long ago
HxH on Netflix and im trying to finish this Chimera ants arc.. I just dont get why everyone loves this show... anyway This looks bonkers. Anime and Starwars.. lets go. Do whoever is doing this stuff to come up with stories for the flagship.
My preference would have been to have one studio handle a 6-8 episode season, then season two would be another studio and so forth. Still going to watch this though.
I have completely watch the whole JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Series Don't ask me why The animation is a'ight at best The storylines are basic but I completed it! Rocket River
It was put on hiatus due to health reasons, so I don't think it's a fair criticism to act like the last episodes we got were supposed to be a proper ending or to tie things up.
No, it's totally fair. Instead of winding things down, his next arc blows everything up on a grander scale with a full-on set of D&D rules you have to track piecemeal...for years. Worse off, Jujutsu Kaisen mangaka is a fan of his and is pulling off the same **** with teeth pulling detail on a smaller scale. I'm fine with the complicated rules, but even spending 3 healthy years for one convoluted arc is testing people's patience, let alone 7. Speaking of neverending manga, it's sad and weird to have a new issue of Berserk drop.
At least you've gotten that far. I just finished the point where the core group passed the hunter exam and I'm ready to drop the anime. I get Killua and Kurapika are pretty cool and have some special powers or whatever, but Gon and Leorio are just so bland, to me. Gon mirrors Naruto in that both are plucky main characters with a chip on their shoulder, but Naruto at least has ninjutsu for him to be interesting. Gon doesn't seem to have anything, and so he's super boring for me.
