It would be cool if it was like the Ryno trade and Wall declined his player option for the final year to get the trade done. Then he would be a 45 million dollar expiring and people would have to pay the Rockets price. I;m not sure what the largest expiring contract ever traded was, but I think Wall could be it. Chances of Wall giving back any money is slim, but someone make the same argument for Anderson. Guy gave up 20 million, which basically would have been last season. I'm not a fan of trading Wall this season if we have to give up assets, but even worse, it seems like we may have to give up roster spots. To match his contract, it's going to take 2 or 3 more players, so Brooks, Lamb and a few others may be on the way out. Edit...may not be able to trade 2 way players.
Sorry but sure the Houston Rockets will not give up any of our younger star players in a trade including WALL.! I suggest that the owner must send 50% of Walls wages as in his contract to his new team, The new team needs to send some good picks to the Rockets, The Rockets will be out of pocket for some time but the rockets will have the money(50%) of Walls money to invest in New players.for the next two seasons. Y
The question is if Wall can recoup and exceed that remaining 45 mil. Is a team out there willing to sign Wall for a 3yr 60 mil deal? 20pts 7ast should hold value at 20mil a year. I heard a interview with a player years don't matter its that guaranteed money.
It seems tilman had long made up his mind to start from scratch desperately, aiming at keeping a healthier cash flow during a downturn economy.
Is the correct play- It matters when free agency come back around here for real ... We want players to think even if it doesn’t work out here , that we will help them get to where they want to be. It’s better in the long run.
If that three-way deal that's been floating around between the Rockets/Kings/Sixers where the Rockets send out Wall + FRP and get Hield/Bagley that would be a truly amazing haul (even if Bagley at his best is a poor man's Wood). I don't see anything else where trading Wall works without giving up significant assets or taking back an equally bad contract.
So NOT having fun when in perennial playoff hunt. But having fun coming off worst season/record in franchise history instead? WTF Eric????
obviously wall or stone reads cf since i started advocating for sitting him for good a long time ago.... a lot of the realist and penny pinchers claimed its just isnt realistic to sit him for the season where are the realist now?
