[Official] Astros @ Rangers

This sucks but the rangers suck. The astros can easily come back.

Astros starters have the lowest ERA in the AL so it can't get much better. Greinke is their 5th best starter right now.

Ok so who’s our “ace”? Who do you trust to get an automatic win against the Rays or Jays or White Sox or Giants or Dodgers?

We’re obviously a very very good team, but who was the last team to win it all without a true ace? Serious question.

Honestly we have no ace ! Stros have some good pitchers but not one top ace you can count on.

 

So Jordan Lyles is a cy young winner now ! Hmmm

It's not how they're built this season. They have 6 above average starting pitchers. Even Odorizzi is better than league average. The Astros have an all time great offense that seems to often hit better against good to great pitchers than 5+ ERA pitchers and bad teams. Guess the good thing is there won't be too many 5+ ERA pitchers in the postseason.

Well, they got a runner to 3rd.

 

Even having Verlander in the playoffs wasn’t a guarantee of anything. McCullers doesn’t give you the innings of a real ace but he’s really really good. We have a group of guys that will more often then not keep you in the game and an offense that can capitalize.

 

I’m going to hold you to that!
