It will be interesting to see how "happy" and a 'Team player" He will be when the trade deadline is coming up he has not played a game and does not look like a trade is happening . . . .. Or if he misses the whole season and is back next summer Rocket River
https://fanspo.com/nba/s/general/tr...they-win-the-offseason-6ersblazerscavsrockets Yes.. il be groaned at for Love and Rubio again. But to get off bad money, you have to take on bad money. But i think this could work? I will die on the Rubio is a fantastic backup guard to KPJ hill until it happens.
No way Philly makes that deal. Even with that first rounder, the best asset they're getting is Wiseman, who plays the same position as their superstar player. Sure, they get out from under Simmons and Harris' contracts, but then they find themselves stuck with Wall and Wiggins' contracts instead, two worse players.
I'd be looking for a longer, athletic forward. Although, all things being square, Herro would be good value in this deal.
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yz42ewwc IDK why anyone but the Rockets would do this but hey lol
Yes, it was contingent on the Wall-Theis Pick-n-Roll being a solid consistent play type ( Silas used in Dallas as a main staple of his offense) that sets up everything else. Silas had that as a safety net if and when Porter/Green stumbled at any time during the season. ___________________ Healthy John Wall with a sound roll man in Theis (like Gortat) was good for a .475 winning percentage at least. That would be 33 wins at 70 games played if Wall was 100% healthy. Since I don't see Wall as 100% healthy, I would have said an 85% healthy Wall with Theis/Sengun rolling on Pick-n-Roll would nab us a .445 win% while playing 70 games. That would equal 31 wins. Crazy athleticism of Porter/Green/Kenyon plus the experience of Eric Gordon plus the All Star level of play by Wood (since less energy would be exerted in doing the dirty work... enter Theis name here for that Sluggo role). Wood could be free to excel in offense and provide solid help defense. All of these components would find us (Rockets) those additional 8 wins to get us to around 39 wins. Additional 10 games tacked on to the season instead of the 72 games played last season for all teams. Now of course Wall won't be playing 70 games......not even one game. Rockets didn't want to take a chance of succeeding. Instead blew it up like a pinata at some fat kid's party. That funny clip posted by @BamBam the other day of the tank turret turning as the guy takes out the trash is appropriate. That guy should have a John Wall face....."Tank" once again secure
I just hope the team is willing to bite his salary and refuse to trade him if it means taking back long term bad assets. I can’t imagine a scenario where Rockets benefit from a trade. His salary is just too much.
I'm skeptical things will work out that easy. Wall will start grumbling after not too long if the Rockets try to keep him out of games when he's healthy.
