Just be WIDE open in disclosures, let the American people see who was involved, who helped those involved, and run them up the flag pole for treason.

Bush was clearly at expert at dealing with foreign terrorists, so he's a good guy to seek guidance from when it comes to domestic terrorists.

U.S. Capitol Police Launches Disciplinary Proceedings Against Six Officers Over Jan. 6
Officers are accused of conduct unbecoming an officer, failure to comply with directives

    By Ted Mann
    Sept. 12, 2021 10:57 am ET

The U.S. Capitol Police said it has launched disciplinary proceedings against six of its officers related to the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

The officers, whose names weren’t released, are accused of conduct unbecoming an officer, failure to comply with directives, improper remarks and improper dissemination of information, the department said Saturday.

The Capitol Police said that federal prosecutors hadn’t found evidence to show that any Capitol Police officers had committed a crime.

The disciplinary proceedings arose from 38 internal investigations launched after the Jan. 6 riot.

During the riot, which happened on the day Congress was certifying President Biden’s Electoral College victory, some Capitol Police officers were photographed posing with supporters of former President Donald Trump who stormed the Capitol.

The department said it found no wrongdoing in the case of 20 officers who were the subject of complaints, and that other officers couldn't be identified. One other investigation into a police official accused of “unsatisfactory performance and conduct unbecoming” is still ongoing, the department said.

About 140 Capitol and Washington, D.C., police were injured in the violence as they sought to defend the Capitol, a Senate report found in June. One Capitol police officer, Brian Sicknick, was sprayed with a chemical substance; he died the next day of natural causes, according to the District of Columbia medical examiner. Four other police from the Capitol and city police force have since died by suicide, police officials have said.

“The six sustained cases should not diminish the heroic efforts of the United States Capitol Police officers,” the department said in a statement. “On January 6, the bravery and courage exhibited by the vast majority of our employees was inspiring.”

Last month, the Capitol Police said that an internal probe had cleared of wrongdoing the officer who shot and killed a participant in the riot, Ashli Babbitt. The officer shot Ms. Babbitt as she attempted to force her way through a barricaded door near the entrance to the House chamber inside the Capitol building.

More than 570 people have been charged in connection with their actions in the Capitol attack.

A select committee of the House of Representatives has made broad requests for documents to agencies across the federal government as it investigates the origins and the response to the riot.

Appeared in the September 13, 2021, print edition as 'Six Capitol Police Face Discipline Over Jan. 6.'

How is this a gotcha? We already know a strong contingent of law enforcement support right wing causes. So ya it makes sense some of those officers were all giddy and posing with the insurrectionists.

Clutchfans in general doesn't have a problem with criticizing LEO when they have done wrong. If these 6 LEO were found to have not done their duty on Jan. 6 then by all means they should be held accountable.

I think Clutchfans and society in general is louder and more vocal about things they don't like than the things they do like and with which they agree.

I believe that most people here support and agree with holding those that failed to do their duty or aided the insurrectionists accountable. That's my guess on why it wasn't largely discussed.

    https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2021/09/13/grisham-dishes-on-melania-494293

At 1:25 p.m. on Jan. 6, soon after rioters had broken through barricades outside of the Capitol, MELANIA TRUMP received a text message from her then-chief of staff, STEPHANIE GRISHAM.

“Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?” Grisham asked the first lady.

A minute later, Melania replied with a one-word answer: “No.” At that moment, she was at the White House preparing for a photo shoot of a rug she had selected, according to exclusive excerpts of Grisham’s forthcoming book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House,” obtained by POLITICO.

Grisham, a years-long Trump loyalist who resigned within hours of that text exchange, also writes that she asked Melania a couple times whether she should reach out to JILL BIDEN during the transition to set up the traditional inauguration tea. But instead of setting up the meeting, Melania told her that they should “see what the West Wing does.” The reason, according to Grisham: Melania, like her husband, believed the election was illegitimate.

A statement provided by the office of Melania Trump said: “The intent behind this book is obvious. It is an attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House. Through mistruth and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump.” (Her mention of “failed personal relationships” appears likely to be a reference to Grisham’s past relationship with former Trump aide MAX MILLER. Citing three people familiar with the incident, POLITICO Magazine reported in July that the relationship “ended when he pushed her against a wall and slapped her in the face in his Washington apartment after she accused him of cheating on her.” He denied the allegation.)

On Jan. 11, Melania did issue a statement saying she was “disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week.” But she added that she found it “shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me — from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda.” She seemed to be referring to her former close friend STEPHANIE WINSTON WOLKOFF, who penned an op-ed in the Daily Beast a few days earlier arguing that Melania “was complicit in the destruction of America.”

Grisham joined the Trump campaign in 2015 and, despite her misgivings, remained with the White House until close to the end. She writes that Melania’s response to her text on Jan. 6 “broke” her since she had long defended the first lady against accusations that she was a Marie Antoinette-type dilettante.

Now, Grisham writes, she sees Melania like “the doomed French queen. Dismissive. Defeated. Detached.”

Though it shouldn’t be a huge surprise that Melania stood by her husband on important questions like the election, Grisham writes in the book that she was “shocked” to learn that Melania seemed to share DONALD TRUMP’s view that the election was rigged.

Melania told Grisham that “something bad happened” and that the election results weren’t legitimate. She didn’t listen to Grisham when she tried to explain to her that there are small irregularities in all elections but there was no grand conspiracy to unfairly remove Trump from office, according to the book.

"At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

    Abraham Lincoln
