is 58% win percentage HoF worthy? Honest question. I mean I guess it’s solid. And it comes with the #9 all time wins… but covid do that tells you solid coach that coached a long time. the ring would have been great… but I guess it’s legit fair to say he got robbed of one potentially with the Kings.
He's #21 all-time on win % amongst coaches with at least 400 games coached #9 all-time in total wins #10 all-time on total coached games #12 all-time playoff games won, winning just over 50% of his playoff games despite never winning a ring I think all of that combined make him more than qualified to be a HOF coach. I'm not ring or nothing on players (CP3, Stockton, Barkley) and feel the same way for coaches. ALSO, he was drafted by the Rockets and I loved him as a coach for us. Gotta give the man love.
Not mad that Rick got in. I'm just pissed off that it took Rudy T so much longer after his retirement to be inducted. Rudy T should have been inducted with the Dream or Yao.
This is to make up for the way Sacramento go robbed that one year against LA. Webber and Adelman getting into the HoF the same year is bittersweet. Next up in the "My Bad" tour....Mike Too Swole Bibby and Peja I was born 10 years too early Stojakovic.
How do coaches work when it comes to the Hof in terms of retirement? Like what if a coach who got inducted decides he wants to coach again in a year? Has that happened?
IIRC Larry Brown was inducted into the HoF and was still an active coach. Granted his induction could have been due to both his collegiate and his NBA resume but Brown was still coaching in the NBA after his induction.
There are several hall of famers coaching in the Big3 league. They can still do whatever they like of course.
