Future Texans QB watch thread

Shough looked good on film but when I saw him play UH, I didn't see anything special. As a matter of fact he looked average against a below average team and I'm a bigtime Coog fan but the season just started.

 

Yeah, I’m not too optimistic. Just hopeful lol

 

A quarterback is always picked way higher than his value if he's a top QB. If theres a guy you like, don't get cute. Draft him. Not matter where he's rated. Single most position in sports.

 

CJ Stroud is amazing. Worth waiting for.

 

23 should have some good talent.
Stroud, DJ, Haynes King (favorite of mine), Hudson Card, Bryce Young

 

Stroud might only have job one year, if the whole year if Ewers forces playing time

 

Stroud has been impressive vs Oregon (sans Kayvon) as a freshman getting acclimated to his receivers. If he keeps playing like today how could you justify starting Ewers?

I see some special skills. His ball velo is nuts.

 

Dont waste your time on this years QB .. take BPA and begin rebuilding the foundation. Stingley @ #1 or trade down.

 

Ewers is the number 1 overall recruit in the country, projected number 1 overall pick as a freshman. Stroud won’t have the job next year

 

A close friend is Florida alum and he doesn't even think Jones is the best QB on the team. He follows the Gators religiously. From what I have seen (very little) I wouldn't pick him

They love Richardson. To elaborate he pointed to Jones's 2 TDs and 6 picks against FAU and USF

 

I agree but not this year. No QB is worth a top 10 pick. Which is GOOD AND BAD for the Texans.

If DW4 get his issues resolved by then, his value could be at an all time high but if they have to draft a QB there's no one worth drafting early rnd 1. I could see rnd 2

 

I saw their game today and he looked ok. He did throw a pick but so did the other higher rated QBs. However, there were a lot of positives.

There are no Mahommes, DW4s, Rogers, etc in this yrs draft. If Texans fans want another Top tier QB get ready for a loooong wait

 

Davis Mills until Arch Manning is eligible

 

Could be someone that comes out of nowhere. Carson Strong could be a can't miss guy by the end of the year. Never know.

 

Howell, Rattler and Corral had real strong games against scrubs
