If this was a republican president they would've 100% sent more american forces to recapture kabul which would've led to a whole new invasion. Truly remarkable that we won this war against the deep state and military establishment. Just last week on foxnews they were claiming the Americans were hostages nd we whould reinvade them LMAO. The "hostages", if we want to call them that, would be Afghans who don't have the legal paperwork to leave the country. But these are the same people that Republicans are saying shouldn't be accepted into America, so go figure. I never saw evidence of foreign nationals as the hostages.

Sen Graham said there will be thousands of hostages if Biden does not extend deadline beyond 8/31. Rep McCaul said it's a hostage situation a few days ago. If those aren't evidences, I don't want what would be.
Hes removing american soliders from harms way that were dying recklessly. The status quo was just 20-30 dead soliders a year with another 5-10k in injuries. Now, if biden removes troops from Iraq and Syria then he will truly be the most anti war president in American history. The taliban could've attacked the airport and have accomplished the greatest military victory of the past 200 years against America. We had one runway active and close to 9k total NATO troops yet it went as good as it possibly could've. All the fear mongering from Foxnews about Taiban taking Americans as hostages and them attacking our troops was nothing but lies. If you look back in this thread you'll see tons of posts regarding how we abondoned our citizens and blah blah The bottom line is Biden diplomacy worked. We minimized troop causality while bringing home everyone we needed too. Biden proved to the world that diplomacy works and he trusted the taliban at a time no other western country trusted them. You can say what you want about Biden but he isnt no status quo President. He has more tougher decision then any other president from the past 60 years.
He gets credit for exiting. Trump gets credit for starting the process of exiting. Neither of those actions is Noble peace prize-worthy considering that the plan isn't to end but to strategically shift more toward a remote war on terrorism (which makes sense to me). In the last few days of the exit, a drone strike killed civilians. You can expect to see more of that.

Stopping the 7000 dead afghan civlians that were dying every year, thousands of child sex slaves that were used by afghan generals, thousands of rural farmers that were bombed and had their land taken away were no big deal? There has been less violence in Afghanistan these past 2 weeks than they have at any time in the past 20 years. Thats the definition of PEACE. It may not be your type of "peace" but it is peace nevertheless. Biden plan is to shift from middleeast and revamp our airforce and focus on china which is 100% the right decision
