Alright, I really hate "0" as a number, maybe its just me, but if JG can't get #4, why not do #44 as a throw back number to old school greats like Jerry West, Pistol Pete, George Gervin, Elvin Hayes (Rocket years), and more (Issel, Westphal, etc.)?

I'm an old dude, so most of those guys few of CF saw play and the number has been trashed in recent years by some names like... Kaminsky, Zeller, but hey the Chuck Wagon wore it for us.

So here's the poll, lets see how CF votes.

What about a ‘no preference’ option in the poll?

House will be likely be gone soon anyway, so he can have ‘4’.

I doubt these guys are picking just cool numbers, there's usually a deeper meaning to their choice which makes changing their mind with a petition futile.

His number is 4, just doubling it has to be better than zero.

Lol how can that be man, would you choose a number that way or would you pick a number that just feels right to you?

Have you played a sport where you had to wear a number? It's really personal.

I want him to wear whatever number he choses to wear from the numbers made available to him by the team, and i would prefer to never think about it again once he's chosen.

I'm more than a little suspicious of the actual substance of people who worry too much about things like uniform numbers or how long its been since the team updated their jerseys.

Not trying to be rude about it, but it is honestly the truth. You have know how to pick and chose what is actually important, and how to ignore all the noise. Picking fights about uniform numbers is pure noise.

They should make the whole roster choose numbers that have never before been assigned by the team. I want to see a roster full of guys wearing 59 and 83 and so on. That would really piss off a whole bunch of people.

Since you can have both a guy wearing 0 and one wearing 00, couldn't you have someone wear the number 4 and another guy wear 04? Maybe we can satisfy some of you outfiting him with 04.

    44 is a horrible number.

Plenty of Star players wear 0.

44 was my three sport # in highschool .... I'm cool with Green taking it down from the rafters for a spell.

If he wants a number (not retired) he can buy it from whoever has it...if he doesn't want it that much then who the hell cares?

#44 feels too role player esque and it belongs to the one and only Chuckwagon anyway.
