You talk is if the Rockets are about to compete for a title. At best they compete for a play in spot and no 7 footer is going to make us a contender

I'm with that! I would love McDaniel with the Timerwolves in a trade.

What is this obsession with tall guys ? I'll never get it. Only a handful of teams have a contributing 7 footer on their team. Everyone who loves seven footers should go root for Cleveland

AD is in a completely different stratosphere in comparison to Wood, and even he needed to be 2nd fiddle to Bron in order to have any real success…meanwhile Wood is the best player on the worst team in the league

if u get excited by Nikola Vucevic level bigs, then by all means

Big men take time to develop....I'll take it AND run with it! AD couldn't win as good as you say he is until he was surrounded by better players!

Let Green and Porter develop around Wood and let's see how it plays out but also LA had bigs, like D. Howard and McGee that they surrounded AD with.

Well, yeah, technically correct, but a bit pedantic.....Hakeem was only 6'10"....and he was a big.

Not only that we have the #2 pick in draft and the team cancer is gone.

The way last yr started, all of the turmoil now gone, along with the group we have now, I think reaching the Play-in game is reachable

Not when you are turning 26 this month and getting those numbers on the worst team in the NBA. People act like Christian Wood is 19 years old and putting up those numbers. Wood is a guy who got an opportunity and took advantage of it, he has a very thin frame and likely willl never play 80 games in a season. That said we have him on an excellent contract, but he is no star, He is an X-factor type player and would be a guy who is the 4th best player on a championship team at best.

You think someone 7 feet tall will magically propel us to victories? As others have pointed out, The Dream was about 6' 10, it's about skill set.

People forget Wood hasn't played a lot in his career. He hasn't played a full NBA season in his career, so although he's 26, he doesn't have the same wear and tear as other 26 yr old NBA players do.

As far as his thin build, KD has a thin build, so did KG, it doesn't matter if you have BIGS around you.

I think he was closer to 6'9 from what I have seen. 6'10" is the length of his Schlong!
