Good luck to him and whichever team Nick can get to send all their draft picks and players to Houston. Tyrod is a caretaker. It's highly doubtful Davis will be the guy. Even if he does turn good later in the season when he gets a chance, it'd still make sense for Nick to draft another QB next year and see who is ready to step up and be the man. I think he's a better QB than he showed yesterday. Ended up 17-32 for 208 yards 1 td and 3 ints(although one was deflected and another was just desperation) vs a pumped up VTech defense. Good thread. I like Rattler and Willis, but haven't looked at the others much. Gonna keep an eye out for these guys throughout the season. Strong isn't a bad prospect. Big arm. I just hate his throwing motion. It's like he's short arming everything. The guy that intrigues me the most, though is Desmond Ridder. I'd like to see him throw for more TDs this year, but if he can throw for 25 TDs and rush for like 10, I think he's a top ten pick and a Heisman finalist. If he has just an okay season, he could fall to the third round, given his mechanical issues (weird base and side arming throws). He's very intriguing in today's NFL. He throws off a weird base, but has a good arm, seemingly good accuracy, imo, and obviously is a great runner. Also, 6'4" doesn't hurt.

He has impressive arm talent with his ability to deliver accurately from any platform. He will occasionally get reckless with the football and needs to be more consistent working through things, but Rattler has impressive field instincts for a rising redshirt sophomore with only 11 career starts. 18. *Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss (6-2, 198) The third quarterback on this list, Corral is a creative competitor and plays the position like a shortstop – quick eyes, agile feet and a rapid release. He plays with distinguishable smoothness, and mobility is a key part of his skill set. He makes stubborn decisions and lacks ideal size, but his exciting talent has been showcased in Lane Kiffin’s offense and year two of that partnership (with a full offseason) should be a lot of fun. 42. *Carson Strong, QB, Nevada (6-4, 212) Strong is a good-sized passer with top-shelf arm strength to deliver strikes down the field. Not only does he have the velocity on his passes, but he also shows the confidence needed to drive the football into tight windows. He needs to clean up some mechanical issues and the long-term durability of his knee is a question mark, but Strong has intriguing traits and Nevada should have one of the most explosive passing offenses in college football this season. 44. Malik Willis, QB, Liberty (6-0, 218) With his poised athleticism and strong arm, Willis is an exciting talent who can make plays most quarterbacks cannot. Coach Hugh Freeze tailored Liberty’s run-oriented zone read offense to fit Willis’ dual-threat skills, creating passing windows while also taking advantage of his athleticism and arm strength. I've been in love with Malik since earlier in February when we jokingly started scouting all the qbs in the draft by their higher calling thinking we were going to get a haul for Watson. Why isn't DJ, the new Clemson qb, available for the draft? Don't you have to have three years in college or be 21yrs before the draft? DJ will turn 21 before the draft.
Still has to be 3 years, I think he’s not eligible til 23 draft. I want to see if Haynes King would be eligible that year too. That’s an elite athlete with good arm that is also a Texas boy.
Howell's OL was worthless last night. He's mobile and very accurate, he forced a couple of passes he shouldn't have, but he had to at times because there was no other option to get back in the game. He very much looked like a pro QB playing with a college offense
Arch manning is a Junior in high school. He can moonlight as a punter and save $1.8 million but won't be eligible until the 2026 draft.
Your right and I'm not wanting to be this negative guy. I know Nick Caserio will be a really good GM as much as I dislike Easterby. It's just so hard to acquire a top 5 QB. That's just really tough and then on top of that just rebuilding the Texans brand as a whole is just another thing. Just tough years ahead.
No worries, I'm just talking mess about the Texans and will continue to do so I wish the Texans were something, but this is where we're at, so apathy and sh!ttalking is what it's about for the next year or two.
Underwhelming group of QBs... Only one I see as a generational talent is Rattler... But I have a feeling these idiots gonna draft the DE from Oregon because the defense gonna show out for Lovie in yr 1...
Willis and Shough only two with elite physical attributes. Howell and Rattler are very similar. Short with good arm and mobile but not fast. Similar to Mahomes mobility. Which isn’t bad
