    IIRC there were a few preseason games where Lin was the successor prior to James' arrival. Just trying to help out the LOFs.

    Started following the rocket in 2005 so I can only speak from then on:

    -> TMAC & Yao - i was amazed when i saw his clips in NBA LIVE 2005
    -> Artest - still remeber the teams website: Artest 96 jersey has arrived!
    -> Goran Dragic - it was really nice to see Slovenian player evolved in a HR uniform
    -> Von Vafer was insteresting!
    -> James - its easy to say i grew up with his rise to MVP level in Houston.
    -> C-Wood
    -> LETS GO J. GREEN!

    Thread might as well be titled "list some names of good/great Rockets players throughout the years."

    I enjoyed watching Lowry grow as a rocket and wish we could have had him next to James somehow.

    Interesting thread OP!

    Yao, Battier/Hayes/Scola, JLin, Ariza, Harden, RoCo, KO, probably either Sengun or Garuba

    McGrady
    Yao/Scola...? (there was a year or two of transition there where it was a buncha blue collar kinda guys and you just loved the group, but it was hard to pick favs)
    Harden
    ... I guess KPJ, but we're in another weird transition, except this time rebuilding. Everyone sucks and is barely trying right now. No one that really gets my heart pumping atm.
