I probably shouldn't be. I spend a a fair amount of time here. If we could get rid of @DaDakota I'd give $500 to the site
I will be curious to see how this all plays out over the next month or so. Biden inherited a **** show between Afghanistan, COVID (and the aid policies), social unrest and a cynical electorate. Until the Afghanistan withdraw, he had been rolling along fairly well.... The Afghanistan withdraw has been poorly handled, at least initially by Biden and he received a lot of heat from the left and right media.... but I am not so sure that it will haunt him down the line. Critics will be able to point to the Afghans left behind and the suicide attack, but I think most people did not expect a smooth exit and I think most people know we should have left long ago but no one politically would risk the damage. So there is a chance this might be positive for Biden. This just isn't as clear cut for me as it seems to be for other people.
Ha ha ha, somehow your post is funny and I agree with you. I've only been here for a short amount of time but his takes suck the big donkey doo.
Nothing, they are dead........ although I would add that there are always people left behind. The same thing happened in Iraq and Iran and in Vietnam and even in Panama. It is part of war, and why the US should be more cautious about engaging in wars.
He sure did, and saved us a ton of money, and got all US Military folks out, in a record time. It was always going to be messy and the FOX NEWS people are looking for anything to criticize....who cares what they think, they supported a con man for 4 years. DD
You can't take 20 years of equipment back in any rational time frame. Most of that stuff was a one way move and the army knew it.
Used to like DD but too narrow minded. Hard for him to understand what it’s like for these folks living in a war torn area (orchestrated by us and propped up/managed in a piss poor way). Blaming them is so sad. when you sit behind a computer play video games all day it probably is hard to fathom what the families of the marines or 7 dead children the day prior feel right now.
For all of you Meal team 6 members I will gladly let you borrow my AR and 3 mags to go back to Afghanistan and "rescue" your "abandoned" Americans.
Now that's American trigger discipline if I've ever seen it... https://static.timesofisrael.com/www/uploads/2021/08/AP21227742379832.jpg
