Interesting fight -- if Woodley would have thrown more he could have KO'd him. Paul better find another retired/ old MMA fighter because a real boxer will make quick work of him.
I wonder how far they'll take this I mean their fans are actual kids but even kids can see this is fake af, right?
That's Woodley for about the past 5 years and probably part of the reason why Paul picked him -- but even with that Tyron had him looking sloppy and tired after the 4th. Woodley should have gotten a knock down as well.
Its all fake as hell Nothing was thrown after this. Like nothing. There is no way this isnt some wwf ****. mma guys work on boxing too and no way a vet fighter lets a dude this hurt walk away. We live in the worst timeline ****.
Woodley wants a rematch too and the price of that is to get an "I Love Jake Paul" tat on his leg...the things people do for money...especially people like Woodley that should be set financially. I'm glad I skipped out on this though. Paul's need to fight other prospects or professional boxers for me to take them seriously. I'm not doubting that they don't train and put the work int, of course they do, but I'm already done with these WWE fights.
You're honestly r****ded if you think Woodley threw that fight. Woodley is a savage and anyone whos followed him since the MMA days knows he would never throw a fight. Woodley was a top 5 fighter in MMA and if you think he would throw that image away and rig a fight then you have no idea who youre talking about. The paul haters always entertain me. Guy is a bigger draw then any active boxer/mma fighter and fans cant grasp their head around it.
He did and immediately begged for another paycheck lmao I'm not an mma fan and i've not followed this guys career but i did see he's 40 and unlikely to ever get another paycheck as big as this one. He's been cut by the ufc, no?it aint rocket science my guy. Even floyd mayweather, one of the greatest boxers of all time, went along with this and you really dont think tyron ****ing woodley wouldn't go along with it too? lol dont be naive Its clear as day that their opponents are told to no press when the pauls are hurt. floyd did it and now this guy. even against Mcgregor floyd held back. **** is rigged. Floyd pretty much confirmed as much lmao
He did. That fight was fake as ****. Woodley is 40 years old on a 4 fight mma losing streak, ufc was not going to re-sign him. During the lead up to Paul vs Askren, Askren repeatedly stated that in his 20 year mma career fighting Paul was the biggest check he's ever earned. Woodley trained and cornered Askren for that fight, this was a package deal. This is Woodley against the dangerous combat veteran Robbie Lawler 27-11 at the time (purse $340,000): This is Woodley against 3-0 Jake Paul (purse $1,000,000): Looks a lot like: More than anything for though, if you were listening in between rounds, Woodley's corner was giving him time updates. After the second round his cornerman said, "we got six more rounds". After the sixth Woodley's cornerman gave him another update "we got six minutes left". When in the history of fighting have you ever heard a cornerman telling a fighter how much time was left and it wasn't the final round? That's why the Paul brothers were shocked when Woodley asked for a rematch. The whole thing is fake, Jake's next opponent will probably be Mayhem Miller, CM Punk or Logan Paul, he'll never fight Hugh Fury because Fury would never take a dive.
Boxing and MMA are completely different sports. Woodley's overhand right has a lot more value with those small gloves and the threat of takedowns. He was still the same fighter that was hesitant to throw punches and combos. He doesn't really have any combos in his arsenal. His head movement looked practically the same as in MMA. It looked like an ammy boxing match and Woodley simply isn't a good boxer. He looked like a MMA guy in a boxing ring...which is what he is. The fight wasn't fake. It's just that neither guy is that skilled in boxing. Don't even compare anything Mayweather did to Woodley. Woodley hurt Paul a bit in that 4th round exchange, but he didn't have the tools to continue the attack against Paul. Paul recovered quickly to his credit.
While mma and boxing are different, these mma guys know their way around a ring. People seem to think like mma fighters dont train boxing. Lets make it clear, all mma guys train boxing and some even seek out top level coaching coaches. Jose Aldo would come down to Robert Garcias gym to train Woodley being a 20yr vet of mma has for sure had more boxing training than the pauls. He was cutting the ring really well but always backed off when it was time to throw. why? paul was there to be knocked out in the 4th but he left him walk away..even bought him time with some showboating. It was a sparring session minus the head gear and dick guard. These are shows no different than the WWF. And i mean thats cool if you're entertained by it. Its annoying as a boxing fan but i get why they sell.
I hear what you're saying but that wasn't Kamaru Usman or Colby Covington, Jake Paul's punching power is no threat to Woodley, even though he is a timid puncher he should've took Paul's head off or at least been aggressive from the onset. Tyron threw one good punch the whole fight and didn't capitalize on it. Tyron is washed up, this fight made him mainstream for the first time in his career for all the wrong reasons. We can agree to disagree but Tyron's body language and cornerman told me all I need to know. Seriously have you ever heard a cornerman at the end of the first or second round tell his fighter "we got x amount of rounds left"? I've never heard that in my life
MMA fans have been calling Woodley 'The Frozen One' since his championship fight with Thompson 5 years ago -- that fight was actually worse than this one. Tyron is shot and afraid to throw punches -- he literally fought the same way in the UFC. Not sure why you would be so annoyed with a circus fight they are not exactly a new thing. Edit: Frozen One might be a new one - maybe it was Tyquil... I can't recall, but he has been mocked for not throwing punches for years.
