House had ONE chance to prove that he was worthwhile to the Rockets, and he screwed up in the Bubble. He has had no chance to redeem himself because the team is no longer in contention. Screw him.
The truth is he's not that good and he's a Harden hold over thats gonna take minutes away from guys trying to develop. Thats like saying we want to cancel EG and Wall because we want them traded too lol People may not like him but if he was a great player no one would be saying trade him.
I think House likes money, so last year of his contract, he will be on best behaviour, etc. His upside is as a trade asset... might not be much since he's on an expiring, but get a mid/late teens pick plus young player not as established would be fine.
