I truly think a lot of these "superstar" fund managers were/are right place, right time.

making a bunch of money doesn't always mean being very smart. People can do reckless and ill conceived things but still fall into a money pit.

I like what Cathy says in her online reports.

Not in AARK but I can kinda see it as a proxy play for dollar and interest rate policy. A riskier version of tech ETFs.

There's also a fear that passives will implode from its own algorithmic weight. That's probably part of the allure to her brand of high risk investing

I think the infatuation comes from her being so open about her strategy. She's built a fanbase. Her obsession with TSLA helps. Same for bitcoin.

On paper the price for BABA is so juicy I cant believe it keeps going down. Buying it is like... being able to sleep with any woman you want, but the catch is, she has aids.

Part of me thinks that Beijing is oblterating the market cap of its major tech companies to prepare for an eventual nationalization of these companies after they bankrupt the current owners/investors. There's a much larger game at play than simply regulating monopolies in China.

She’s an internet age fund manager which can amplify her message and fine tune her charisma/personality.

I got in early with ARKG and have done well. I just view her, the fund manager, being less important than riding the waves. Time is ultimate weighing machine.

amid this newest flight (away from hi flyers) to more safety / value, many are landing on msft

    A 21 pt pop,
    [IMG],
on the news that CRWD has been added to the NASDAQ 100 index (NDX)---replacing mxim--- is an index comprising the 100 largest Nasdaq-listed non-financial companies.

many funds are obligated to buy NDX equities, thus lots of buying of CRWD stocks going into the qtr-ending Sept.
in view of this, plus IV on CRWD options are > 50,

    sold another 10-pt bullish PUT spread(sept 24).
collecting a premium of $5.24, defining my max risk of $4.76

Ironically, video games were a better investment than used cars over the last 12 months.
