How angry is Pancakes McClain going to be now that the NFL has banned reporters from the locker room? How is he going to be able to retweet someones else's information, someone else who is currently in another country and yet still out scoops Admiral Buttersworth. How the world weeps for McClain...how will he be able to promote the latest slideshow of his favorite shape of dinosaur chicken nugget that he has uploaded to the Chronicle?
I agree, love what he's been trying to do so far. But the Easterby stench works its way through the organization. I can only conclude that Driskel is still on the roster bc of FCA ties and Jack.
I dont understand - what is worth it? Even with Deshaun Watson at QB this team is AT BEST a 4 or 5 win team. You could actually gain something of substance by trading him if the right deal popped up and improve the overall team. How is burying him on the depth chart any better? The dude is done here and needs a fresh start elsewhere. edit: If criminal charges arise then I would be OK with cutting him.
The only reason Driskel is still on the roster is because there's one more preseason game and they don't want to get Mills injured playing against fourth and fifth string guys. I'm pretty sure the stench of Easterby that the media has been inhaling was created by Billy O. I'm not saying Easterby is completely harmless, dude George Costanza-ed his way into jobs with two nfl teams, that type of manipulation shouldn't go unchecked but its getting to a point where I think people would be more accepting of him if he was a kid ****er instead of a preacher
Such a waste. Dude has elite physical traits. Seems dumb as a box of rocks. Will probably go to New England and become a pro bowler
I meant other trash, 3rd string QBs you could sign that are better than Driskel. He's literally worse than Tebow. He's the worst QB in the NFL.
Yeah but he's third string, in training camp, he doesn't matter. Whether it was Driskel, Ryan Finley, Blake Bortles, DeShone Kizer (I'm happy no one on this board remembers how heavy I stood on the table to draft him lol), Joe Webb, or Kevin Hogan dude's going to be turning in his playbook on Sunday. They just needed a guy to throw to receivers so more guys could get reps in practice to be evaluated and they knew a journeyman like Driskel would be no threat to the development of Mills. So Driskel being the worst qb in the league is a good thing because he didn't come into training camp trying to resurrect his career, he came in, took his reps, got a check, some fresh gear and a nice tan, come Sunday night he'll be on a plane back to wherever he's from. Did they sign Driskel because he has a relationship with someone on the staff or in the front office? Probably, that's how a lot of deals are done in sports, through relationships, (its how the business world works too) why do you think Mark Ingram is here, because he has a relationship with Culley, and the same can be said for Tyrod and Pep Hamilton, same for the newly traded for Rasul Douglas and Dino Vasso.
Moral of the story? Dont draft water polo guys to play football in the NFL. Dude looks the part for sure, but he just cant play the sport. He will be nothing in the NFL but a practice dummy and at best reserve or special teams guy. Horrible bust on Houstons part.
