Jose should coach him up some. Just glad we finally got one from KC. I think I'm going to Arlington for Saturday night, Yordan better be ripping it by then.
I've been looking forward to this line-up or something similar for a long time. I hope Dusty lets it happen. POS L/R/S PLAYER OBP SLG OPS+ WAR 2B R ALTUVE, Jose 349 464 127 3.5 LF L BRANTLEY, Michael 371 453 126 2.7 1B R GURRIEL, Yuli 384 478 137 3.2 DH L ALVAREZ, Yordan 345 528 136 2.4 SS R CORREA, Carlos 371 479 133 5.6 CF R MEYERS, Jake 346 563 145 0.4 RF L TUCKER, Kyle 334 519 131 3.4 3B R BREGMAN, Alex 359 428 117 1.6 C R MALDENADO, Martin 283 309 64 0.4 ps I'm sorry. I feel like Meyers is our CFer already. He can cover CF and not cost you at the plate. McCormick will be our 4th OFer and DIaz our Utility IF and Castro backup catcher. Jones and Wilson are probably headed back to SL if they have options unless they go back to 13 position players.
Meyers needs to work on his strikeouts, but man he does appear to be an upgrade over McCormick/Straw.
Alvarez needs to work on his strikeouts. He's regressed in that department by not taking swings at the first pitch. He doesn't even keep pitchers honest.
I know it's not easy, but it seems simple. Swing at the pitches IN THE ZONE as well as don't swing at pitches OUT OF THE ZONE. I know there are nuances after you get that part down, but we seem to let a lot of good pitches to hit go unchallenged.
