Try out Netflix app or YouTube apps to see if you are having issues there ?

Could be Amazon. Could be raised blacks (is your black level limited/low or high?)? Gamma could be on the wrong setting? Is logo luminance set to high, low, off? Power/energy saver - on or off (turn it off)?

Definitely try turning off logo luminance & energy savings.

ALSO - the very best place to get support from LG is their Twitter DM's. @LGUSSupport

SK and Chinese products both use crappy caps. It's usually where the letdowns, durability issues lay.

Welp... my main tv seems to have just given up the ghost after about 7 years. Too soon. lol. I guess I'll finally be joining the OLED crowd now... maybe.

Well, not yet. I may just wait until Black Friday sales to buy a new one, although I don't know how good the sales will be this year on electronics. We'll see. My biggest decision is whether to go up to 65" or stay at 55". At a 10-foot max viewing distance, but with some seating only about 5-6 feet away, the 65" may be better, but 55" would be hundreds less and seemed ok to me for the watching I do even from 10 feet. So far, I'm looking to go with the LG C1 if I go OLED. I dunno. We'll see.

People that go 55 for their main TV all seem to say they regretted it. C1 will be great.

    I went with a Hisense U6G 75" for $1k. I'm too poor for OLED. 55" in 2015, went to 65" in 2018, now getting 75".

I originally got a 55 OLED and it was great for awhile. The biggest issues is a lot of movies have the black bars (letterbox, whatever aspect ratio you wanna call it) so having a 55 meant that the movies looked smaller than 55 which is why it was annoying. Some shows and movies fill up the entire 55 so those were acceptable, but I couldn't stand it any longer. Fast forward 3 years, I skipped the 65 and went straight for the Costco 77" CX. They are on sale as low as 2499 but that's if they have stock, but I went ahead and bought online. Now I'm set in the TV department for the life of this TV. I sit about 10-12 feet away from this TV and it just fills my eyes. I'm super happy with my purchase. Having experience with OLED before, I'm not too worried about burn-in so the Allstate warranty from Costco is good enough for me. If you can swing it, go for it. I'll probably eating out a little bit less the next few months but full 100% satisfaction is hard to come by these days.

The oleds come with built in burn in protection now and it auto shuts off if there’s lack of activity

Just FYI, I picked up a B series OLED in 2017.

TV has a golf ball sized dead area at the top center of the display and a clear off color "drip" from the dead spot to the bottom of the screen.

Pretty disappointing for a premium TV.
