How is what I am doing trolling? You made a statement that she literally hates the USA. I asked why and you said it's your opinion and you based your opinion on her policies. I asked what policies those were and you refuse to answer. There are plenty of politicians I don't agree with, but I can't think of any that 'literally hate' the USA.
Typical... make a statement and when asked about it, just 'agree to disagree'. You're on a message board. You say something, expect to be engaged. Don't opine that someone 'literally hates' the USA and then run away when asked to demonstrate how you arrived at your opinion. But... you do you.
The word "literally" means things, but it does not mean what you think it means. Sorry, Alanis, nothing's "Ironic" here.
Lots of people disagree with you. She was elected. She won re-election last dec in a blow out. She has a 37% unfavorable/disapproval nationally. As a comparison… Trump was elected. He lost re-election. He has a 58% unfavorable/disapproval nationally.
Judge ruled in favor of Fox News has this statement: “Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statement he makes.” Problem is Fox viewers (and a large portion of the US in general) are not reasonable.
This is true for many US-born Americans as well. They don’t have to deal with attacks that they literally hate America. When you are foreign born but still willing to express criticism of how the US acts in the global stage, you are subjected to these attacks. I don’t think that’s right. Being an outspoken critic of Israel and Israeli lobby should not be construed as “anti-Semitic tendencies”, when many Jews criticize the same thing. Regarding the “isis criminal”, she asked for compassionate sentencing for a young man who had tried to illegally fly to Syria and join ISIS. https://www.fox9.com/news/rep-ilhan-omar-asks-judge-for-compassion-in-isis-recruit-sentencing Daud was one of two young men from the Twin Cities arrested in San Diego in April 2015 in an alleged plot to buy fake passports for travel to Syria. Federal prosecutors requested 30 years in prison for Daud, with a lifetime of supervised release. The 13 letters sent to Judge Davis on behalf of Daud include similar pleas for leniency from Minneapolis City Council member Abdi Warsame, a Minneapolis Public Schools dean of students, several youth program coordinators and Daud’s own mother and brother. Warsame’s brief letter said Daud “is a young man who has a future ahead of him.” The defense has pushed Judge Davis for lighter sentences, saying the young, immigrant men were caught between two worlds – the United States and pride in their Somali heritage. The defense argued the young men were lured by propaganda on the internet that suggested that a “true Muslim” should be in Syria saving other Muslims who are being killed and trying to restore the Caliphate.
I think the disconnect here with people like @King1 and @Astrodome is lacking empathy skills for people who don't sound or look like them. That is why when a white " traditional American looking" person criticizes the country like Trump saying "We also are murderers" when asked about Putin's atrocities, he doesn't get lambasted as "anti-American" or hating America. It's a "in" vs "out" group for these people. Only a certain make up of individuals have a "right" to criticize America and a hijabi immigrant turned citizen is definitely not part of that in group. I've experienced this personally as well. Even peers I fought along side with as a Marine grunt have told me "go back to where you came from if you don't like the way it works here" for mere political disagreement even though I was born here and literally fought for this country or at least for the profit notices of US defense contractors. Fir conservative right wing Americans, for a person of color to be considered a true American they must align exactly with their idelogical beliefs. That's the only way you get accepted as"American". Citizenship status is useless. That tells them nothing. It has to also come with exactly regurgitating and mimicking their beliefs.
Lmao. I appreciate you @'d me. You're a single guy who is mad at the world. I honestly feel sorry for you
Coming from a guy who thinks someone hates America because they have different policy desires than you. Introspection and self-awareness, you lack it.
It’s a tv show just like any tv show on any network this what the majority of people don’t understand cnn and Fox are no different than espn or mtv or Nickelodeon Viewership has nothing to due with reputation It’s about entertainment and interest level Max Kellerman losing his job on espn first take is about viewership and boredom All of you mentioning any show or host makes them more relevant this is why 99ers are smarter than everyone on here @Space Ghost
I think you proved his point. Why does one have to have a wife or children to succeed? No ones a loser because they choose not to have kids or get married. You are showing your narrow mindedness. Just because people don’t follow how you live your life doesn’t make them a loser. This should show people on this form how little you think of people who don’t follow your line of thinking. It is pretty sad actually. You should try to be open to new things and ideas. There is a whole world out there.
That's your definition of a loser? Plenty of losers in this country then. But that's your opinion and we've seen another of your opinions recently, so we know how that goes.
Are you not joking? I remember a coworker, years ago, we had just met, good guy, friendly conversation we were having, he asks, "Hey, how many kids you have?" "No kids." I wish I could post the picture of his face. He clammed up and looked away, trying not to REACT react. The fact that he's Hispanic (that's right, I went there) just underscores what a circus freak I must have seemed. As if I'd lost my nuts in a bicycle accident; must be the only reason not to have kids.
